The Information is a 2006 album by Beck. It was produced by longtime Beck collaborator Nigel Godrich.
Unlike Mutations and Sea Change, the previous Beck albums produced by Godrich, The Information will not be a "stripped down" record. [1] According to Beck, Godrich "said he wanted to do a hip-hop record" before they began work on the album. "And in a way it is, and in a way it isn't. It has hip-hop songs, and my previous work with him was Mutations and Sea Change, these sort of introspective records, and so this new one is sort of bringing those two worlds together." [2]
The album will come with a blank sleeve and booklet and a sheet of stickers for people to make their own album art. It will also come with a disc of videos - one for each track on the record. [1]
The first single was confirmed to be "Nausea", and officially goes to radio on September 5th, 2006. [3]
An additional single will be "Cell Phone's Dead", with a video directed by Michel Gondry.[4]

I know its early to say this , since I haven't fully listened to the new album, but it looks like i will be dissapointed with beck's new album once again
None of his new material seems fresh or funky any more. He once was a great alternative artist (and my personal favorite at one time), but now it seems he struggles to be alternative. Ive said this before and ill say it again, getting married was the worst decision Beck made. :(
Its my fault though, I shouldnt expect much out of a Scientologist
