the numark cdx isn't on sale till april/may worldwide???
personally i think the layout of it is bad. it's so big cos of the platter and all the controls and display are crammed at the top.
i must admit i would love a third cd deck, why mix with 2 when you can mix with 3!!!!

I have trouble mixing with 2, I think 3 would be comical!

it takes alot of patients to get good at 3 deck mixing. the 3rd deck comes in useful when you got some dj tools or accapella. its quiet nice to play an accapella over the top whilst in the mix.
it might sound very arragent. but i'm bored with just simple 2 deck mixing, that what everyone does. thats why i went to cd. the ability to be very creative with loops and stuff takes things to another level.

I'm a pretty rubbish DJ, I'm not dedicated enough so I don't practice enough. I love makes mixes though, I record them to MD and then listen to them on the way to uni, or whenever I'm in my car. It's like a load of my fave tunes in a nice mix. I would post the mixes up here, but there is at least 1 big fuck-up in every one I've recorded so far.

no i don't, i got the industry standard stuff (pioneer cdj's). i think cd mixing is the way forward. it so flexible and far more creative for a dj who knows what he is doing. i wisah i could get everyone on this forum to my club night in may. i will get you guys rockin'!!!

I'm currently practising mixing on a cheap, basic cd 2 deck unit (good for beginners). The only problem is that I get too busy with other stuff :( , but the easter hols are coming up so I hope I can dedicate myself. When I get good and have the money I will definitely get some pioneer cd mixers, probably the cdj-800. :D

yer cd mixing is cool. i started out with a basic cd turntble so i could play some of my own bootlegs/re-edits. eventually i traded up to the cdj-1000 cos i was offered one for a 'to good to be true' price, and never looked back. i've also got and 800. i cant recommend the 800 enough!! it is really good value for money. make sure you get a good deal for it, there is no need to pay more than �430 for it.
