my 2LP order of Brotherhood just came today!

SO excited. The first thing I did after I opened it was BLAST Chemical Beats. It sounds so nice on vinyl :) yummmmm.

AW! TJ--I'm jealous of your oversized postcard print. I just bought my copy and I love that picture, and my only thought was, "I wish this were bigger..."

And officially, I now also own Brotherhood. When I bought it at Amoeba, the clerk actually told me that a lot of people were buying it.

If only it was a real album, the artwork is just perfect. I'd buy me this lp.

Although I own all albums on cd and lp the price has to drop big time before I buy Brotherhood on vinyl. My singles '93-'03 limited edition box is too special and I already own all the EBW's on vinyl.

Ah, yes, Joslyn you're the envy of many to have all the EBWs on vinyl. Damn--nice.

Sorry Pooter, I'm cheating. I own the bootleg EBW 5 but after hearing Brotherhood I'd rather own Afrika white label than EBW 5.

Why? I think, EBW 5 is frigging awesome. But that's just me. And by saying i'd buy the album I meant if it was a real new album.

What I still don't understand artworkwise is, why didn't Kate put any of the EBW pics on it (at least on the "special" editon)?

I'm having a new fondness for EBW 10! And 5 too!

It would've been cool to have the EBW artwork with the special edition, but that would have been another expense I think... Perhaps the EBW artwork is best left for the true EBW collectibles, you know? Plus, isn't the EBW artwork a Beatles reference? Damn it... where is AnType when you need your Chemical Trivia fix??

EBW 9 is sa-weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! It's so dirty and sexy, I love it and it sounds so good when it's cranked up loud.

And EBW 3 - I don't think I heard this one before I got Brotherhood. I wonder how many "versions" and variations of this are floating around? I wonder how many variations of all their songs - EBW's and their album counterparts included, are currently trapped behind the sofa?

It boggles the mind.

EBW 5 is frigging awesome but it's the same as the It began in Afrika 12" version. And Arika white label is different to both of them so that's the gem worth looking for. And as stated here already, it's imposible to find a proper EBW 5 with so many bootlegs around. Just like the yellow vinyl Slow remix. I even discovered that the Manic Street Preachers remix vinyl Done & Dusted has been bootlegged.

Oh I understand why Kate didn't use EBW artwork. She changed the colours of the singles and if you change the colour of an EBW you're just creating other EBW artwork, which probably will be used in the future :)

Get the 2 cd set. Vinyl doesn't include the EBW's so the cd set is the only way to get them digitally. In stead of buying Brotherhood on vinyl be on the look out for a singles '93-'03 vinyl box set
