I think they'd pay more attention to it if the sticky was labelled "XCLUSIV: The Chems R GAY!"

@iPunk: Aww, sorry to hear that. But you might be interested in the fact that the key to a successful consumption of a pie lies within you - it's all about how you bite it and how efficiently you chew it. If a pie is too dry, it's definitely much harder to finish it without water. If you drink more, then it won't be a challenge for you. Another key factor is the filling of the pie - if it's something you don't like (e.g. pumpkin pie), then there's definitely no way for you to finish a pie. The solution for this is to find a pie with the filling that you can enjoy (e.g. raspberry, apple, etc). Hope this helps.

It wasn't a desert pie. It was a main course pie and of the family size. It contained steak and mushroom, and me not being the greatest fan of beef, is probably one of the reasons I couldn't stomach the final mouthfulls.

I always have a glass of squash beside me in times of pieism. Also, lately I have been on a mission to chew my food. It's the new me. I paced myself but I couldn't hack it. I also had chips and veg.

A few days ago, I had the same saga, but with a chicken and mushroom pie. This is my favourite pie filling but it was still a mission and a half to get to the finish line, but I did it. I couldn't talk for about an hour afterwards in fear of opening my mouth and vomiting by accident.

The spam is annoying but the mod team is doing great keeping things in check. Don't be discouraged - the effort and the pay off of keeping the official board free from as much spam is much appreciated! :)

I don't really think it would take much effort on someone's behalf to update these forums and make them a lot more organised. There is a great little community here which, apart from the inevitable few, is very friendly.

At the end of the day Tom and Ed will have the say (its their website after all) for what goes and what doesn't. If they asked the record company would pay for the upgrade to better forum software. Its a joke that you can't edit your posts, you can do that crappest forum software these days.

There's no doubt this place would benefit from a tidy up. If you look around the web there's some great well thought out forums to take ideas from.

You could have seperate catagories for the discussion of individual albums, a general discussion area, a live area, a polls and opinions area, a technical questions area, a meeting fans area. Its not difficult to think of how it could be orginised because at the moment its a nightmare to navigate through.

Actually I like most of the issues people generally complain here, like the edit button missing. Like (I think) Ed said one time, there's no edit button in life.

I know this place since 2001/2002, and I posted some stuff with other username like 2 years ago. So, with that said, I think my first thought will always be to mantain this board, as it's a place I always used to search for news of my favourite artists and also it's the board with the most gentle and cool peeps I've ever seen. You know, the sense that's a real community, that's amazing. But, it seems we couldn't find away of getting rid of the spambots completely yet. So, a new forum could be the way, but there's things that we should try our best to mantain:

1 - We need to save the important threads (Now Playing, General BS...)

2 - I like the layout of this board, I believe most of you like it too, so it should be as close as this as possible. (God, no blue boards with cheap glossy effects, it needs style, like the Chems music X-D )

3 - It could have the option of allowing avatars.

I guess that pretty much sums it all up for me.

X-D words of wisdom from Ed regarding the edit button of life!! Did he really say that? If so that's pretty funny - and he's got a point.

I love the reason why we all came here in the first place, I love our community. There's people here both old and new who have really given their all to this forum and I think all the content here is worth saving - not just the bullshit and now playing topics. Song discussions, album chats, the monster miloco2forum EBW thread, bonus disc suggestions, plus all the gig reviews, even the thread about the London bombings... it is all something we've been a part of in some way even if we're just stopping by and not posting anything.

While a new forum might be good in the interim and while there are parts of me tthat will support the decision of my friends here, I am afraid once this place disbands it'll never be the same. I saw it with the old Chems' mailing list, I saw it with the Chems' old forum and I've seen it with other forums stash belonged to in the past. It does provide some comfort that Ed knows what's up enough to ask where the spambots are and I would hope when the new album is out, we get a forum update.

In the meantime, all the talk about how outdated and polluted with spam this place is solves absolutely nothing, though it's good to rant just to get it off our chests. Let's be patient with the mods and see what happens.

um, how about: this place has charm..?
