just bumping this. I'm still hoping they put out Superflash on a vinyl soon - the fuji rock version gives me shivers. My favourite Chems song in a long time.

There are plenty of songs to be released on vinyl or cd (superflash, the rock drill, theme for velodrome, silver drizzle, pourqoi) so it has to be time for an E.P. !

listen to 0:40:00 - 0:41:43 which is the SPECTACULAR ENDING to Superflash!
I've been religiously listening to this for weeks now, and I now conclude that this has the best ending of any Chems song I've ever heard! I can only imagine how even better it's going to sound when it gets a real release! It has this magical 'acid test' finish or god-like ambience.
I can hold off and wait for the velodrome single....and even the c.h.e.m.i.c.a.l. track, but first and foremost, I want this track so freaking bad!
C'mon T an E! Make this happen!

Absolutely agree! Time for b-sides disc!
But I'd like to argue Superflash needs a full fledged EBW 11 treatment on vinyl!

...and still unreleased! IMO I still think the the first version SF is much better than the present one! For some reason the video got taken down for the last 2-3 yrs. I came back to this thread and saw it pop up again! My first impressions for SF back then still remain the same! Not sure if it's still a contender for EBW 11 status!<br><br><br><br><br>

Didn't they say in one of the recent interviews that Superflash already got its release on Don't Think, and that they have no plans of releasing it in any other form?

^I don't remember any interviews saying it, but I think one of them said something along the lines of "it's already on Don't Think" in a tweet when asked about the release. And then we super speculated it into the ground and thought that the track might never be released outside of Don't Think. I have no sources but I'm sure someone else with time can track down what I'm talking about it.

Yes. I don't remember if it was an interview or a tweet but indeed they did express this sentiment and said they were moving on to new stuff.
So we may have to wait for the all encompassing end-of-career virtual-box-set before we get our hands on a studio version. Or, maybe a B-side (he says hopefully).

Erol Alkan and Daniel Avery playing Superflash a few months ago. Which means they have given copies of the studio version to other DJs, or at least to Erol. This version seems slightly different than what we already heard

I remember Erol Alkan playing a different version of Superflash at Soulwaxmas 2011. I am not sure this was the same as in the video above.
