You do a good winter olympics though. Apart from the whole no snow thing for a while at the start...

And the whole bobsleigh track being deadly thing.

Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

if you actually like guinness ryno(which i dont) apparently it tastes like crap in the u.s or europe, and im sure canada too....tastes much better here!

The Guinness does taste a lot better in Ireland than anywhere else, including a hop skip and jump away in England. Served up proper in an Irish pub is a splendid thing... It doesn't travel well, and never has - though the widget (in the can) has made improvements on texture and taste.

These are some of my favourite Chemical Brothers songs:

Close Your Eyes
Surface to Air
The Sunshine Undeground
Asleep From Day
Harpoons
The Pills won't Help you Now

Based on these, what are some other tracks I would love?

THANKS YO!!

So, here are some recommendations:
If you Kling to me, I'll Klong to You (my favourite B-side)
Chico's Groove (album version and Mix 2 from the 'Life is Sweet' single)
My Mercury Mouth
Dream On
Hoops
Silver Drizzle
Spring
And i love cutting the last 2 minutes of Elektrobank and putting them on repeat. 8-)

It's nice to give recommendations and wanting to keep things on topic, but in case you missed the shit storm on the first page, there is no hope of return for this thread. The original poster killed it.

I think this thread shows us the one remaining topic that this forum has yet to create (now that finally someone did a "this day in chemical history" thread) is a section for people of the world to attack each others countries and make stereotypes of it and it's beer. We could call it "Generalized Bullshit Chat"

I enjoyed this thread, haven't had a bit of drama since...I used to be a bastard I guess. I miss the old me :(

I love red heads <3 they're rare and beautiful creatures - I would love one to play with. I think a Guiness to start off a night out the best way to line the stomach, it's smooth and satisfying but a tad pricey. I would avoid Ireland though, Irishfan lives there.

Mr. Canada, did you actually have anything to do with Canada's development? No. I would be grouchy too if I had all that snow shrinking my penis (or at least that's the excuse you give to the ladies when you catch them giggling).

Did anyone ever mention "Where Do I Begin"? Rather than more Chems I might have recommended Air's Moon Safari to the grumpy Canadian - with some meds and therapy. ;)

I dunno. That would give us Americans a pretty sad disadvantage regarding the beer....:-(

Let us know what you think about Mix 2. It's similar to the first, just stripped down. It's like the perfect "alternate mix".

Whoa. I liked it, it was very interesting. Equal in goodness to Mix 1, IMO. It reminded me of the relationship between Leftfield's Song Of Life versus its b-side remix Cut For Life. I can't say I prefer Mix 2 over the original, but I really enjoyed hearing the bare bones of Chico's Groove (I finally know what the vocals are! I can die content now!). I might be sampling it and make that epic Chico's Groove remix I've been thinking about.

By the way, I totally agree. Why the crap hasn't anyone mentioned Where Do I BEgin on this thread? That song is the essence of awesome.

Looks like that fucking shithole Ireland needs a big bailout from the IMF and European Union.

So much for a great society, just another case of the Irish LEECHING off of the working class.
