the longer this war/occupation goes on the worse it gets. it's appaling what we have done. i can only ever see repercussions from this war. one man has single handedly made this world a dangerous place for all of us. his justification for this war was to rid the world of another dangerous man. bush you have just take his crown you fuckin idiot
i dont know how the politicians have the nerve to still say it was right to go to war.

What went through my head when I first saw those pictures:
1.) That's gross and cruel.
2.) Doesn't really look like US troop UNI's
3.) Found out it was British troops.
4.) Then I thought, "You know, I really don't know what the man being pissed has done. Imagine if he shot your Mom, best friend, someone you care about. I don't think we would think it was cruel and inhumane. Just think about that for a while. We all really have to reserve judgement on this action, until we know what the prisoner did.
5.) George Bush didn't make that British soldier pee on that man.

We could possibly try to understand the reasons but it would still be inhumane. I think nothing justifies inhumanity, nothing.

So you're saying if I raped and killed your mother/sister/wife you wouldn't want to do something bad to me?
Sure, but it would be inhumane, so I would not actually do it. Revenge is no good and to stop it, somebody has to take the hit. Damn idealist view of things, but since these sort of things haven't been happening to me, I say it because I have no idea how I would really react.
So it's not justified, only revenge. It doesn't take anything else than two big families with a murderous attitude to ensure bloodbath forever.

I don't think the pictures are faked - there's govt enquiries and all sorts going on - it seems to be to be exactly the sort of things soldiers in stressfull situations would do.
it is however completely fucked up. it doesnt matter what the guy being pissed on has done, the military (uk, us and all 'coalition' forces) are over there as 'liberators' (remember bush saying that??!!??) - seems a fucking funny way to liberate a country to me.
the military over there has a responsibility - to uphold the peace (ahem - loosest possible use of the term), and by treating prisoners in that way they aren't living up to their responsibility - there making a bad situation worse - so really there is no justification for pissing on that geezer.
and as for 'bush didnt make that soldier pisss on that man' - well, indirectly he did - if bush wasnt such a meglomaniac then chances are that soldier wouldnt be there. and if they had actually worked out what they were going to do with the country AFTER they had removed saddam (rather than making living conditions worse for everyone that lives there, and causing huge resentment towards the western world) then chances are that the soldiers might not have had to take him prisoner and could have let the new iraqi state police deal with him.
i dunno - war/futility - herein lies a perfect 21st century example.
american people - please vote bush out come the elections!! please!!

Err... You really need to get a grip on your hatred and bigotry or keep it to yourself - you're a homorous guy and you have a biting wit, but if you were going for being funny, what you said wasn't funny at all.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
