This is The Chemical Brothers on top of their game. From the opening chant to the distorted synths, this tune has energy overload! It sounds like it wants to be challenged, almost like its taunting every other song created to try and beat it or be better. But every other song fails!

When Darkstar was out here visiting (after the rest of the kids left) we were up late after a night of drinking and we popped in this video. It was a real geek moment, he summed it up perfectly and said "this song is fuckin' mental! Absolutely mental."

And it is. That peak is incredible, it's my favorite part when that violent eruption brings the song and the world around it to a near paralytic halt.

One of my friends described it as a "80's porn music". I agree, the live version is insane. especially those high pitched sounds. 8)

I almost came when i heard them live. X-D

I wouldn't go that far to call it porn music... but that's pretty funny! X-D

Chems and porn. There's always the connection somehow!

I always felt like the song had this sort of dialogue going on within it - that bendy synth sounds like it's pleading, like it's asking something but it's followed the vocal sample saying, "nah, ah ah".

That one might require some thought. I need to think about it. It's going to be difficult though. The outtro in conjunction with that eruptive peak is a hard one to top!
