Another Mixmag exclusive. The Chems return to soil our pants with
a mutant indie-dance gem. Wayne Coyne from The Flaming Lips does his best
Bono impression and if this doesn't whet your appetite for the forthcoming
best-of album, you're obviously on smack.
Best Mix: Original
It Goes: "Please forgive me I never meant to hurt you"
Out: September

Whoa, sounds nothing like Chems! Sounds almost like New Order...
Maybe its just because its a shit-quality Real stream...

I'm waiting until I hear the high-quality final product, full intro/outro, etc.

lol - reviewing an crappy quality version! And a minute of it! I listened to it several times and it has definitely grown on me. Also, keep in mind that you'll start hearing weird background sounds in the higher quality, final version.... and that theres a flute part that is cut off at the beginning. TGP is a nice track, it seems so far. I could be mistaken though.
(btw, http://65.49.77.158/TheGoldenPath.mp3 - slightly nicer quality, I think; what do you think?)

I'm weak so i listened to the sample. I think it's always a bit naive to judge a song before you hear it in decent quality and not in a tiny 45 second clip from some random part of the track. You really have to hear it from start to finish to get the feel. I've always started off by disliking tracks when they're in small shit-quality (meaning real audio samples which i for some reason hate and can't see why the less daft wma isn't used more often). Then of course put them on cd/lp and in their entirity and they will always turn out better

I'm quite dissapointed with the golden path upon hearing it in it's entirety it just dose'nt sound like a chems track and it dosent really progress much. I wounder if their running out of ideas? Wheres all the cool squelchy sounds gone and it didnt sound very pychadelic to me. Hmmm im gutted :'(

i heard it several times and i must say it is very trippy, i don't like the vocals though...c'mon guys don't you think we are being too judgemental too early. It's just 59 seconds of bad quality. Trust me it's gonna be really cool when you listen the album version.
