Ok, so the other day I am watching the Singles DVD... It gets to a part on one of the live sets that I happen to love, and I started getting chills down the back of my neck and felt all emotional and stuff I thought I was about to shed tears of joy. Have I ingested too many chemicals or is this a normal 'sober' response...

I think I can relate somewhat. I can't say I shed tears of joy, but during the Fuji Hoops/Setting Sun part - esepcially Hoops - that song really had multiple aural spasms, if you know what I mean - The first time I sat down and watched I felt these waves of memories, and moreso these waves of intensity - kind of like being on-the-edge-of-your-seat sort of thing. I think it had to do with a number of things- seeing the level of intensity of how the crowd were playing out, and how the Bros were playing the crowd. It really illustrates how well the Chems know their music and how it affects people, or the masses is more like it.
So anyway, for what it's worth, I think your response to the live sets was an act of divine chemical intervention, thereby causing a sobering experience. ;) I think it's pretty cool that the dvd has moved you in that way!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
