My friend just text me about this, out of the blue! Not being signed to a label allows this kind of freedom I guess. I am excited, but I wont be downloading it. I'll be getting the 'Newspaper' CD :D

I pre-ordered it for £30. Just have to wait till the 9th of May. I wont be listening to the .mp3's at all, their stuff is sit down, turn off the lights with no distraction music.

I stumbled upon this today whilst seeing if Ping is worth using. Really pleased they're releasing new material, fingers crossed they might have some tour dates later in the year

Yes. I paid a lot for the limited edition version of In Rainbows too, but I like to have the artwork because it's brilliant. Kid A had a secret booklet, Amnesiac was in a woven book with a library date stamp card inside, Hail to the Thief came in this long glossy wallet and In Rainbows is in a big two vinyl hard case with artwork inside. I don't even have a record player...I want one though, just don't have the means.

the vinyl copy also? I have both the CD and the vinyl and quickly found out about the secret booklet with the CD.

I am going to buy the new album on vinyl also, regardless of the music, it's radiohead (!). but I don't think I'll be paying 30.

I don't believe the vinyl had it, the cd had it hidden under the CD, you had to rip open the jewel case to get to it so I reckon there are a lot of people out there who don't even know it's there.

If they release just a standard vinyl release, which they may not do. They can do what they like now, must be ever so freeing.

Oh yeah and the album in my opinion is better than In Rainbows. A lot better.

if that is the case I am going to have it.

I am going to do so anyway but it's cool they just managed to release what seems to be another brilliant album. I enjoyed in rainbows, especially videotape, what an awesome song.

Videotape is an amazing song you're right. I was partial to a bit of Jigsaw Falling into Place (I really enjoyed the video for it).

As for the new album, I'm really getting into Morning Mr Magpie as well as Lotus Flower

I'm liking this album, though no song is really standing out for me. Same as with In Rainbows, even if King of Limbs is a little more consistent. Trippy, sleepy stuff... Somehow very much what you'd expect from and unmistakeably sounds like Radiohead but fresh at the same time. Why do the drumbeats remind me of Caribou?

I enjoy In Rainbows but can't remember a single song that's on it. Actually forgot that album even exists after it first came out. At first it was a bit of a disappointment, I listened some songs only halfway through and skipped some. I remember thinking In Rainbows sounded like it only had recycled themes from their previous works. Just blew the dust off it a week or two ago and luckily I got over that first impression.

The beat to Lotus Flower reminds me of the Sneaker Pimps:

Lots of the album reminds me more of Do Make Say Think.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.
