Woooooo Bosco!! Wonderful review, just running over with enthusiasm excitement and love for the music and everyone enjoying it. So much for meh, hahaha! You had me fooled there for a second but I knew you had to be joking!
I'm so glad, so super happy you had an amazing time at the gig!! It was such a long time coming and you've been richly awarded. And I knew, I just *knew* hearing some songs live would put things in perspective and forever change whatever not-so-positive first impressions you had! So awesome... so awesome...
Looking forward to seeing you this weekend. :)
I really do hope chemicalreaction is OK!

First off...anyone know where to get a recording of the chicago show??!
Second.....AMAZING SHOW!!!!!
Wow. Sunshine Underground, Block Rockin Beats, All Rights Reversed, Das Spiegel, Chemical Beats, Leave Home, Under the Influence, Hey Boy Hey Girl, Surface to Air, Star Guitar, Burst Generator, Do it Again, Galvanize.....wow, just freakin wow.
They played EVERYTHING i wanted to hear, EXCEPT Private Pyschdelic Reel and Setting Sun.
That makes me a lil upset, that i couldve gotten my shirt inked with chicago and do it again!! blaaahh....but i got my chems shirt :) :) i's happy.
Bosco man, we were right in front of you, on the pit/floor. Dont know if you remember many of the peeps. but i had on a blue flanel shirt with twisted hair, and was SOAKED after the show. Man i couldnt stop smiling since the sounds of No Path to Follow. I didnt stop dancing until after Sunshine underground. I was soaked. My cigs were ruined, and my ticket was floppy. lolol.
Two complaints about hte whole show. It was a freakin sauna in there!! and, i hate when people chain-smoke cloves!! icky.
I could also use a couple chem buttons :) :) :)
I also didnt get decent sleep till last night. Phewwwww LETS DO IT AGAIN!!!!!! NEXT WEEK!! hahahaa yeaaah

ps...anyone know what happened to that girl that got taken away by the paramedics before Ladytron came on?? out in the main hall, they took her away...what happened??
also, was NOT impressed by Ladytron. They wouldve been better minus the Lady. Its hard to pull of decent female vocals, imho. They had the music, but hte vocals killed it.

Oh fuck, I forgot a part!
EBW7 aka Acid Children aka "YOU ARE MY CHILDREN NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!"
hahaha fuckin awesome! I like how they just used the vocal overlay (same with GYH) from the song and put it on other tracks, rather then playing it out in full. Another smart decision from Mr. Tom and Ed.
Mikey04,
I just cant remember if I saw you. My eyes were mostly on the stage. Hopefully, we can have another meetup in the near future so we can introduce ourselves properly.
Snooz3r,
Haha yeah that was me. You look kinda familar too from what I've seen in your pictures. If I would have known who you were I would have said "Hi". Maybe next time.
Has anyone spoted a video of Chemical Beats from Monday Night?

I didnt even know a girl was taken away by the paramedics, but I hope she is alright.
And I couldnt agree more about Ladytron. But I did fancy the leading female singer...

unbiased Chemical Brothers review
Current mood: rushed
Category: Parties and Nightlife
Hippy types with glow sticks are pretty much non-existant, which was both a shock and disappointment for me. If you (like me prior to last night) have never been to a techno concert, it really is something everyone should experience. I was a bit worried, being the terrible dancer that I am, I was concerned that I might feel out of place. Then I got there, and trust me, there is hardly a more rythymless crowd, and techno is so all over the place, so it's not even noticeable, don't let your whitness deter you. Now for the meat and potatoes:
Opening band: Ladytron
very cool name, very attractive ladytrons, rythm was alright at times, but music as a whole wasn't all that great, may have been partly due to the sound set up or something, but they were a bit hard to destinguish, and it was just a lot of constant monotonous hollering. Very good idea for a band though, definitely some potential there.
Chemical Brothers
They're good, great music to listen to, visually pretty cool. They guys get into it, the crowd was into it, it was all around a good experience. Maybe I am just getting old, but it was entirely too loud for me. My ears are still ringing today, quite a bit. Loud things sound all fuzzy right now. Also, there was this clown image that was just freaky. Not a big fan of clowns, and I know that was the point of this one, but still, I could have done without it.
So all in all, glad I went and the guys (and gal) I went with were all good to hang around, no issues whatsoever. But I do have one word of advice. When you decide to see your favorite techno group in concert, wear denim. I wore some synthetic khaki colored pants, cargo type pants. Well it was hotter than a stolen tamale in every square inch of the building, and the dancing did not help a thing. After a couple hours I was sweating quite a bit, and I am not really a "sweater" if you know what I mean. Well the area around the knees and upper calf area on my pants were about 6 shades darker than the rest of them. So mind your attire is all I am saying. Oh, and bring plenty of money, at $5 a can, drinking gets expensive.

I almost had to leave the show because of the heat. I have kidney problems that affect my heat tolerance. I imagine anybody any sort of heart condition or asthma or anything like that would have been in the same boat as me. I was getting down so hard, then right when HBHG started up my girl and I had to leave our spot to get me some water and ice. It was a bit much for me. The heat really made the show less of what it could have been for me. Still a great show.

What up Chicago/World:
Had a great time at the show. My wife and I drove five hours to see them. This was my third, her second, Chems show and probably their finest yet. Sweaty crazy affair down in the pit... check out my pics here:

Sethful - you can tell Troy that my 5 and 3 year olds keep asking "Dad, dad, show us the scary clown!" then running about shouting Get Yourself High. Nothing freaky about them. (Mind you, they've been having nightmares for the last 3 months... :o) )
And great pics sensoredmedia.
