NICE!

Love the laughs, thank you people.

It's gray as fuck outside and I'm kind of depressed. Laughs are definitely what I need right now.

hehe - I think Leave Home will be making the rounds here on Nov. 4!

It's a big day tomorrow. stash is taking Connor to the polls in the morning, and I'm taking off a little early from work tomorrow to go stand in line to vote. I am registered absentee so I'll need to vote by provisional ballot. This might hold things up momentarily but hopefully it'll be smooth sailing.

November 4 on election years should be a national holiday like it is in other places. At least places like Los Angeles had early voting but the same can't be said for my precinct.

The big hot button issue here in California (besides the presidency) is Proposition 8. Voting Yes on 8 means you want to legislate morality and don't support homosexual's rights to marry, and voting No on 8 means you support the institution of marriage for everyone. It's not about the churches (they're seperate from the state for a reason) and it's not about whether or not straight people think gays are icky. It's about civil rights and it angers me that the Yes people are dressing the issue up as "protecting teh children" when it's blatant bigotry plain and simple. Quite frankly it pisses me off to no end that we have to vote on civil rights issues.

God I can't wait for all of this to be over!

I think I'm gonna be going to the Obama rally tomorrow in Grant Park, Chicago. We (my family) don't have tickets but we are just gonna walk around and see what goes down. I'll see if I can get my picture in front of the the flipped over cars once Fox news announces Barack the new president :P

I'm ecstatic for tomorrow, think many people are. Even though Obama is winning by a good amount, so many people are paranoid about tomorrow's election going towards McCain. Stash, you couldn't have said it better with the frog... Just need that noise it makes (bbbzzz)

BTW, props to MatrixSynth blog (on Good Things) for having the testicular audacity to remove google adds from their site because of pro 8 endorsements being posted:

I just read that people in other states began lining up at 4am to vote!

I have a feeling I'll be waiting a while this afternoon. And of course it hasn't rained in months and months and it's pouring today (which reminds me I need to dig out my umbrella).

I'm so getting my free Starbucks after I vote! hahaa

And speaking of Google ads - they advertise on my company's website. A customer wrote to us and I happened to see his email first. He asked what our company's position was on Prop 8 and I was like, huh? So I went to my website, scrolled down the front page and there was a large ad saying to vote yes on Prop 8. It takes a lot to make me lose my cool on the job and I just about blew a gasket. Luckily, so did the gal who handles marketing for our company and she ripped the person who handles our Google account a new one.

Just hanging out in Laguna right now and I have to say, it is quite electric. Spent a little time out on main beach with the Obama people and waved at all the honking drivers (lots Of honking)! We're eating some grub right now and we're gonna hit up a little party and hopefully have something to celebrate.

Later!! <3

The Election is not over and already squad cars are making arrests outside my window.

Pretty wild over here at the house! Kind of like New Years without the ball dropping! Having a BBQ and watching the states goes blue.

Still waiting for Indy and Florida to go Dem!

An important announcement on how California's Proposition 8 is saving marriages across the state:

fucking Prop. 8, it will never stand, never. It's history babe, the Democrats are here, and we'll amend the real fucking constitution if we have to to make sure the x-tian zealots don't persecute anyone.

The Prop Hate outcome thus far is a raincloud in an otherwise starry and clear night...

prop 8 really captures where the next generation fighting for civil rights will be.

honestly, why don't fundamentalist focus more on stuff like stoning people for working on the sabboth (Numbers 15:36), so that some of us don't have to be forced to work on saturdays, or bumpkins who sleep with their cousins (Leviticus 18:6)
