GAHHH!!!!! Amazing! I'm glad to see another electronic act trying this. I'm still in love with Jeff Mills example with the Montpellier Philharmonic. Note, I am bias after working with an orchestra (not as musician) for 5 plus years now.
That second disc from Temporary Pleasures is the only thing I go back to from that album. Too bad that album is probably their worst, all thing considered.
Belvedere is also a great track from the Extra Temporary tracks.
Back in January I mentioned Ex_Machina on the Films You Saw thread. Now that the film is being released in territories outside the UK/Ireland (just had it's US premier at SXSW), the Geoff Barrow co-written soundtrack is being (re) released, and is currently streaming on Pitchfork, HERE.
I really like it, especially from track three onwards, though it won't make much impact on laptop speakers. But get down to track 7, at around 6.38 and you may spot something familiar, as per the Prodigy thread.
Go down to track 10 (not credited to Barrow but to 'CUTS' and the whole track may sound familiar. In fact track 10 is also on youtube and can be downloaded for about 80p from bandcamp:
Two Fingers' (Amon Tobin) DJ Set at Lyon last week.
I strongly recommend watching this in 1080p 60fps, with the volume way up, and dancing in front of your computer screen (skip to 5:35 for the actual beginning of the set)
