I'm so full of "Oh WOW!" whenever there's Chems news.

And this is Wow! No collaborations! People on the forum have been wondering when the Chems were going to move away from doing so many collaborations, so I am certain this will thrill a ton of people!

There have always been collabs on Chemical Brothers albums, so this whole 'no collaborations" deal for Further is... well... it's exciting and new!!

I wanna watch the interview but i'm scared Escape Velocity will be playing in it and i'm waiting until i have the album. Can someone confirm if it plays?

Yes, good question - the track is most definitely played.

The interview with Tom starts at about 28:45 and he chats a bit about Escape Velocity.

Zane gives advance warning and says he's going to play the song again and "see you back in 11 minutes". Then there's some pre-recorded hot tune!! introductory chatter that goes on for a few seconds, so that should give you time to navigate your mouse and hit the pause button or whatever before the song actually begins. ;)

30:11 is when the song starts.

42:10 is when the song ends. You can hear what sounds like a balloon deflating. That is not part of the song, haha! That is just Zane being overwhelmed. The interview with Tom then kicks back into gear and there's lots of giggling.

Listening to it now. You just have to appreciate the fact that Tom can be so excited and not put on a false modesty when they know they've done something really good like Escape Velocity. No collaborations = "Pure" haha.

The Erol Alkan forum seems very positive about EV and the album press release:

I think they're especially pleased that there won't be any guest vocalists, for they seem to dislike even "Setting Sun" and Invaders Must Die just because of the vocals.
I certainly enjoy The Prodigy and songs like "Setting Sun", but I'm quite excited with them!

Oh man, are you serious? That stinks.

OK: To paraphrase: At the beginning Tom talks about Escape Velocity and how they were mesmerized in the studio when making the track. Zane mentioned how it went off at Coachella and Tom said that was an early version of Escape Velocity. You could definitely tell Tom was proud of the track.

After the song was played, there was more chat about Further and how it was going to be collaboration free and a 100% Chemical kinda deal, and that this venture signifies an exciting time in their careers.

I'd type up a transcript but I'm at work, and was told today that I can no longer use media players that suck up my company's bandwidth...
