Was just thinking what song I have enjoyed the most live?

For me....gotta be the The Private Psychedelic Reel @ the Hammerstein in NYC a few years back.

Sitting here stoned and was just bored.....curious though.

You're never going to get a simple answer from me! :P

Hard to say which is *the* song, there are highlights from each concert I've been to.

I was moved to tears when the played The Private Psychadelic Reel at Coachella last year. It was one of life's highlights, it was so incredible, so wonderful. The whole set was incredible. I could go on and on.

When I saw them during Come With Us, I'd have to say Star Guitar stole the show. But then... then again, Sunshine Underground was a highlight the way it was situated in the set like it was a real showcase piece... and it was really cool to hear the set end with The Test.

The first time I saw the Chems during Surrender: When the show started, it was that thudding boom boom boom and incoming buzz of Hey Boy Hey Girl that had me sold ever since.

Look I've gone and confused myself! X-D

Tomorrow Never Knows intro sent absolute shivers through my body. The string intro to Galvanize. The Big Jump was such a great surprise. Under the Influence/It Doesn't Matter is colossal. Surface to Air. Evil fucking acid clowns!!!! The overwhelming joy of the Golden Path. And finally, The Reel.

The Start of Bloc Rocking Beats was totally funked out! I also loved EBW8...(and the clowns }:-) ) the glonden path was just beauitful and The reel of course blew me away and wouldn't finish, which was the best part.

It's weird, but at the same time it's not weird at all (at least to us freaks in our little chems niche). I totally get what you mean.

It was everything going on around me with such intensity, plus knowing the set was going to end some time, it was all about what I was feeling, how it was affecting me. If that's what heaven feels like...

And thank god they plump up the Reel and keep it going for as long as possible. You think, "OK, are the gonna end it?" and they keep on going and you think, "good, OK, it's not over yet!!" I love that!

And I know I'm thread-jacking here and turning this into a fuckin Reel orgy, but there's this bit on the Coachella bootleg. It's during the Reel and toward the end you can plainly hear this guy screaming "Yeeeeaaaaaah!!!" then there's a pause, then another "Yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!" He's just going for it, you can tell he's giving those yeah's all he's got. It makes me laugh every time I hear that because that could've been me on the recording. Or anyone that was there.

yes, definately. When i heard it the first time in Berlin it didn't go out of my head anymore. And then some months later somebody was providing that Coachella set and i listened to that intro again. I was just like freaking out and cheering through my room, it was so amazing. Kinda "turn off your head . . ." X-D

To me there's no particular song (ok TPPR of course) it's rather the whole flow/structure of the sets and their unique build up. The only thing is to describe the feelings i had there.

My heart was jumping all the time when HBHG started to play (well i still think it's the best intro although i haven't heard the new one yet). Such pulsating intro, i mean, you wait for it and then the kick drums blows you a way together with screamings of the audience. Brilliant. And i can't highlight enough the new Block Rockin' Beats intro. Man that was so amazing the first time, those beats! Man, they should make a separate song out of this piece!

Hm what's more . . . The TEST! This one disappointed me a little when i had the chance to listen to some 2002 stuff. Too loud, too noisy and full of high pitched bleeps. But the more i heard it the better became it. Would somebody sign in for a petition the brothers should rework it (just a little) and integrate it again???

I have a few fave live moments....

The crazy tweaking towards the end of Junior parkers intro leading to the screeching intro to hey boy hey girl.....and when the first beat kicks in, imense, i cant imagine what Tom and ed must feel when they drop that!...

Next would be Big Jump live, that sounds so fresh and new....

The Clown on EBW7....

When the visuals come in for real in MUSIC RESPONSE...WOW

the green laysers for Get Yourself High....they go thru you!

and just many more
My life is a boat, being blown by you. With nothing ahead, just the deepest blue... To me you're like a setting sun. You rise then you're gone.

Your really spot on there. EBW7 clown is just such a mad rush! And the beginning on GYH is also perfect.

Its so hard to pick the best track and when others mention parts of the set they like it reminds me how good the whole live show is. As mentioned the new BRBs is so good.
