i am currently collecting all of the b sides from the epd and dyoh eras (my favourite 2 chems albums!) i have most b-sides all that i lack are let me in mate, the ebw mix of dont stop the rock and these beats were made for breaking. i tried to buy leave home containing let me in mate off amazon from the buy used section but the cd i was sent was the uk release which didnt contain let me in mate :'( i complained but the chimps at amazon dont seem to understand the importance of collecting b-sides and did nothing! what sort of track is let me in mate (what is it similar to?) and is it worth getting hold of?

Its weird. It has a cool bassline, screaming, and breaks. Not their finest work, I might add.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Let me in mate to sum it up sounds just like most the tracks on My Mercury Mouth and 14th Century Sky, kinda like something between dope coil and dust up beats.

I love 'Let me in mate', its loud and the bassline is cool. I love the bit where the dude says "Are there any drums in the house?" 8) 8)

I've only heard 30 seconds of it, from www.planet-dust.net. It's so hard to find these sorts of tracks, where can you get the dust brothers records besides eBay? Previously, I would have downloaded them (on the principle I can't buy them), but now all the download sites are out, which is totally wrong but that's another arguement (and another thread probably)

ok for no real reason heres my list of chems tracks that i have yet to collect...

dust up beats (i have it in mp3 but its described as wipeout 97 mix so i dont think its exactly kosher)

be that thing (supposedly crap)

let me in mate (i need it)

these beats are made for breaking (like an edit of morning lemon methinks)

dont stop the rock (electronic battle weapon version)

not another drugstore (not the planet nine mix anyway)

most surrender b-sides (yet to buy)

HIA (need this too cos it rocks)

(doh this makes me look like a crap fan...)

If you are just after mp3s, I can help you out with some of them... if you want to hunt down the proper releases, it might be a bit harder and expensive.

During the days of Napster, I searched and searched until I found Let Me In Mate. It's a pretty clean mp3, no clips and blips but it does have a "warm" sound to it compared to other rips, then again it could have sounded like that in the original recording - but the quality is pretty garsh darn good. Anyone here with an ftp I can upload this to? :?
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I like Be that thing, I think Dope coil is worse. But then there isn't a single chems track I don't like.

Scale is ok, overshadowed by flashback (the other B side to HGHB)
