Hey all. Did anyone manage to get to Creamfields this year? My gf and I went for the third year in a row and it was good fun, altho we are starting to think we are a bit too old for this dancing-in-a-field-all-night malarky!

We were a bit diappointed that Fatboy, the Jaxx and 2 Many DJs were all on more or less at the same time (quite shit considering they were the 3 acts we specifically went all that way to see), but we ended up in the Chibuku tent to catch the DeWhaele brothers who were on top form.

Other highlights were the Plump DJs who, despite being 3/4 of an hour late and thus having to truncate their set by quarter of an hour, were in my opinion the act of the festival. Big props to DJ Yoda who, having permormed a flawlessly creative laptop set, improvised for a further 3/4 of an hour with god-knows-who's records until the Plumps showed up! Two big thumbs up also to that bloke who followed the Plumps with a stonking techno set albeit in front of about six people (!), Jon Carter who played a blissfully nostalgic acid house set, Scratch Perverts, and Dave Clarke (sorry Dave, these days we're just getting too old to go mad to banging techno at five in the am!).

Massive big thumbs down for the organisers who insisted on putting the likes of Fatboy, Scratch Perverts, 2 Many DJs etc in tents that could only hold four or five people at a time, and to Event Express who, for yet another year, managed to fuck up their timetable by leaving an hour and a half late and on top of that giving us a coach driver who got lost on the way! IF we go again next year, and that's a big if methinks, we will probably plump for a train ticket which, in theory, should at least get us somewhere near to where we need to go!

But enough angry ranting, all in all it was a fun weekend, despite the stuff-ups! Anyone else have any Creamfields stories to share? :)

Sorry to hear about your nightmare with event express, we've used them pretty much every year and never really had many problems, apart from last year when we were late as fuck, o and this year the bus driver wudnt let anyone smoke on the coach which was a bit of a bummer since the journey is usually a good oportunity to have a few fat bifters and and a few cans to get you in the mood! but we made up for it when we stopped at the moto services!

Faithless rocked it for me, opening with insomnia, and the performance of miss you less, see you more was amazing! the full cycle arena was where it was at this year for me, Gilles Peterson played some really wicked liquid pressure durin the day, Caught a bit of roni size however i was feelin particularly fucked up at that point and the tent, although probably being 1 of the smallest had the loudest soundsystem, which was all a bit too much for me. took a venture back later on to see Lemon D and Dillinger playing "some grimey shit" and krust "whos got some really nasty shit" so said the MC! Managed to catch felix da housecat playin some sick bleepy, acidic, jackin house tunes in the strongbow rooms "work this pussy, work this pussy, work, work, work, this pussy, this pussy (boomderduhderduhduhduh)" that 1 went off! Plenty of dancing on tables and groovin away under the stars on the terrace section. Had a final smoke listening to richie hawtin, and dave clarke. earlier on we went to catch 2manydjs, but we were battered so we just chilled and listened in the exit, had a few fags and a giggle with very fit female with MASSIVE EYES (and tits!). this year we kind of didnt stay in 1 place for too long and managed to catch a good half hour or more of many different djs, including fatboy and his acid smileys! I think its a bit of a waste if you stay in 1 place unless its a dj you REALLY want to see.

But when are they gonna drop the awful tidy arena, its just plain annoying. A scally opened the fire exit on our bus at 6.30 am and tried to sell us sum coke, my mate sed "no fanx" to which he replied "ask everyone else on the bus if they want some", then our driver turned up and told him to "fuck right off". On the way back some fucking fuck head girls decided it'd be ace to neck a pill for the way home, much to the greivance of everyone having to listen to them talk utter shit all the way home while trying to get some shut eye! fuckers

All in all had a wicked day, got blazed and listened to some wicked music. X-D

The Plump DJ's were one of the best there. I didn't get to see 2manydj's but did here some of the set (I was sitting outside the tent for a bit of a rest). Bassment Jaxx were excellent, as were Faithless. Personally I thought this year was better than last, however none of the act's could beat the Chemicals (I wasn't a big fan of the CB's until I saw them at last years Creamfields). I hope the Chemicals are back next year, I'd also like to see the Prodgy.
