One of my french mates told me that in HBHG he have always heard "Hey Girls... B-Boys... Superstar DJ's... Here We Go !" ... I've re-listened to HBHG a lot, and to the original song they took the sample in, and that's true you can hear "B-Boys", but i'm not really convinced... Any idea ?

Ben_j, I still think it's "b-boys" X-D Maybe i'm wrong but the original track is a hip-hop record, or "b-boys" are men who dance on hip-hop (not only that but they do it). Well, whe should ask to Ed no? He told us about the sample of "chemical beats" :o Dear miloco, is it "b-boys" of "hey boys" ?

No you're not wrong. It's sampled from Rockmaster Scott: The Roof is on Fire
The roof the roof the roof is on fire! we don't need no water let the mother fucker burn! BURN MOTHER FUCKER BURN!
Ben_J currently has some emotional problems causing these strange outburts witnessed in this thread, so just bare with him.

This is messed up! After years of hearing it like everyone else i suddenly hear it differently. I shouldn't have looked further into it, but after listening to the original sample source I'm convinced it really is "b-boys" in HBHG. It's definitely a bee sound to my ears, not a hey sound.
I ended up reworking the original and mixed it over the top of HBHG and it sounds perfectly matched. If you loop the sample over and over it really does sound like a b sound, like b b b b b bbbbbb. I guess I can post it up, but if people already hear it as "Hey", then I thought... what's the point?
.........................gotta love the lazy Sunday afternoons.

Um... err. X-D I here it as "hey" but if it's not I'll just have to laugh. I guess can live with myself if I am proven hard of hearing once again! All right. Consumer, can you put that up somewhere please? You experimental findings would be interesting to hear.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Link - less than a mb.
Ok so that's the original source riff, followed by Chems riff, then both mixed together, then at the end Chems versions of hhhhh and bbbbb :P
It's just that to me on the absolute no tweaking version of "roof is on fire" they definitely say "b-boys" and I can't hear that it has been changed other than a semitone or so higher on the Chems track.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh! :-D
