"Do it again... yourself" hahaha. Nice.
I like the soundcheck clips. It does seem a bit bare without a sea of dancing fools and a choir of cheers from the crowd. But still - would be a fun perspective from a fan pov to be a fly on the wall for a soundcheck.
The whole backstage process of putting on a show, then tearing it down only to resurrect the stage on the next stop has always fascinated me. Part of this well greased machine that keeps the show rolling. Being a roadie, I always thought, would be a dream job. Fuckin hard work, not place for a chick - many sleepless nights, sore muscles, leg gashes, blistered fingers and close calls with the gear, but it would be so rewarding to see the fruits of your labor each night. You'd get to be a part of the bigger picture but work behind the scenes.
After Coachella, I watched the roadies tear down the stage and load everything up into the trucks. They were hard at work - they had everything down to a science. Walked up and said thanks for helping put on a great show and the roadie I told that to was really sweet. So next time you see some roadies hard at work tearing down a Chems set, go say "hi" and tell them "thanks" for a job well done (unless you're Foxboy, then they'll just fuck with ya, hahaha)

That was truly awesome! Watching them break down Galvanize and Burst Generator was an experience in it self. Then again, I still need to see a live show! I'm young and in the States - bad combo.
Anyway. Whirly; I've had a taste of being a roadie. My dad kinda freelance performs around this dinky little town. He's a fantastic keyboardist. I've had to drag his gear around from time to time. It is quite a job to have; tiring and technical. But it's also just fun to be there. And to the roadie for the Chems? Gha, that'd be more than an honor. Here I go, geeking out again. (Not the right word, but it's close!)
DIA yourself. Heheheha. If I would have heard that, I probably would have repeatedly hit the floor. Damn you awesome DIA effect! ><
