Me either. Not a single part of Further is ordinary to me. If you think stuff like Another World is ordinary, I can't imagine what you'd call unique.

Another World probably the favourite. Its hard to produce a delicate song like that, that connects with your melancholic feelings and tries to remind you of hope still....Similar to Wonders of the Deep...I knew theyd eventually pay homage to MBV yet it they've made it there own way. Must admit Escape Velocity wasnt an instant classic for me, that was the grower one. Now its like an addiction going on that journey now thinking I wish it was even longer!! K+D+B, those drums are so addictive and then the vocals are the finishing touch to the uplifting movement. When I first heard Snow, those goosebumps came and its been a while thats happened listening to a new album from anyone lately...
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

Welcome Mikl - been enjoying reading your posts so far, so keep posting. ;)

I hate not being able to make up my mind but when I'm thinking of Further as a whole, my Further favorites keep rotating!! When I'm listening I think, "ah yeah that's a good one." And then the next song comes in and I think, "oh yeah I like that one too."

But even though my favorites change from listen to listen and day to day, the songs that remain constants for me are: Snow, because when that bass bottoms out and takes me with it, I can feel every hair stand on end. How and why it does that without fail each time is a sweet mystery. I love it. Escape Velocity, because it was love at first listen ever since before it had a name and was simply referenced as the 'last track', it will always be a special song to me. And Wonders Of The Deep, again with the goosebumps plus it doesn't hurt that I think this song is such a beautiful, fitting conclusion to a such a beautiful album.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Thanks Whirly, Its been interesting reading the posts. Finally decided to take the plunge myself...

Keep bringing those secret insights you seem to be revealing  You can just imagine the possible transformations and development that Escape Velocity could of been through to get 'IT' all right and make sense. Much how Tom and Ed would talk about how there music takes shape. Wonders of the Deep is a perfect way to end this album, definitely reminds of you of waking up from an intense dream or arriving to a meeting point in a stage of your life. Not as long or as epic as such as some would expect like The Private Psychedelic Reel or The Test but kind of like how Dream On ended Surrender. Still triumphant in its own right. I loved seeing the peoples reaction when 'that bass' would hit for Snow at the live shows they've recently done...

Yeah, I've changed my mind recently and discovered "Another World" as a great track really! But still I could highlight just a half of the album tracks, that is: "Snow", "Escape Velocity", "Another World" and "K+D+B" - I've listened to all album thoroughly, and these are the tracks that impressed me.

Although I love every sound in Further, Snow kinda captures all of my heart. It gives me that special buzz when you see someone who you love, when your palm get wet and heart skips a beat. It's really like that moment just before you embrace loved one.

I love the whole album, but after about four months of listen I can finally say K+D+B is my favourite. So far no song has ever given me such euphoria. It's life, love, hope and pure happiness caught on soundwaves.

Just been listening, like many of you here, to Further back to back. For me it's up there with OK computer by Radiohead cause these two albums are the only ones I have to listen front to end. Which makes them both very special. I don't have a favourite track, I love it as a whole. What that being said I adore Snow because when that bass drops you're diving into the Further Experience.
What I really caught my attention today is that there in no polished sound on Further. It all sounds like it's been made with old machines in a low tech studio, dirty and wobbly and out of tune in some occasions cause the keyboards are so old. But at the same time the music sounds so new and fresh. I know that Tom and Ed said in an interview that they deliberetly kept that old analog sounds in. But that's what jumped out for me today that it sounds so beautifull. I think as a whole Further is the best compliment Kraftwerk has ever had.

How well i understand and respect your words, OK computer is even today album that i cannot listen except as a whole, just like Further, and it's been now... 14 years? of nonstop enjoyment, and my deep gut feeling tells me Furthers is album that i'm gonna also listen for foreseeable future.
It's so amazing that in this time, when music is available everywhere, and albums are made sometimes for just one good song, that someone will take time and really do a album, that can be regarded as one 52min thought.

I try not to overplay music I love so I've only listened to the album about 5 times so far, and yeah I get many adrenaline rushes while it plays. First one is when the bass kicks in in Snow ...
Further Remixed There's nothing else...

I agree. That "adrenaline rush" can only happen so many times, i've been trying to explore my horizons in the techno world, or universe in this case beyond chembros, prodigy and crystal method. (new horizons: DeadMau5, Eric Prydz, Justice and, should i say it, basshunter Posted Image .)
