Old man hairstyles are a flop.

Well, as for me, I'd stay at home, and, maybe work on my computer for my new album... :)

In our country, the New Years Eve is very important, but it is called "Spring Festival" in the Chinese calendar, that's the most important festival in China. :D

At The Spring Festival, all the family members would get together to eat the Jiaozi, pasting Spring Couplets, light firecrackers, and stay up late or all night on New Year's Eve. :)

As the years pass, NYE becomes less intense each year, it seems. Or maybe I just become less inclined to do something intense each year. My motivation wanes because in the end, it's just another night, another party, and if nothing amazing is coming to town to see, I'm not going to go out of my way to do something about it.

Of course, I could completely contradict myself and go do a bunch of coke in the Tenderloin with friends...

i only used to like NYE because we got to see the chems!!!

now its just another night out, only everything costs 3 times as much. having said that, went to a house party last year and stayed in getting muntered the year before. which was ok!

I'm doing what I do every year.

Stay in, put my feet up and watch the Twilight Zone marathon. Welcome to the old.

Just thinking about some of the epic NYE's with the Chems some of you guys experienced makes me feel ancient. And tired.

Hey Whirly, I downloaded a 30GB Twilight Zone DVD the other day thinking it was the original one which were/are amazing but it's in colour. It isn't the new new ones, but must be the ones directly after the black and white ones. Are they as good?

I'm going to Turnmills this year YEAH!

Yeah, Turnmills is no longer but it went out with a bang apparently!

iggy - Gosh I don't know because all the original series from 1959 to 1964 were in black and white. There was s revival series that came in the 1980's. I remember watching those on tv as well and enjoyed them, but nothing beats the surreal, dark, macabre tone of the originals!

If the ones you got weren't from the 80's episodes of Twilight Zone, I wonder what it is you got? Hopefully not some after-the-fact colorized version of Twilight Zone. I know some movie studios played around with those colorizing techniques and it killed the nostalgia feel of the classics. For example they did that with It's a Wonderful Life - can you believe that crap? Why mess with a good thing! Anyway I'm getting carried away. Thankfully though the colorizing of the original black and white films was short lived having fallen out of favor with the public almost immediately.

I'm curious as to what you go a a hold of.

@chemdup - NYE isn't over rated when you are able to see pendulum do a dj set at Sydney Harbour. But yes going to London and back within 24 hours would be over the top :P.

@Bosco - i feel the same. unfortunately I have to always put up with my brothers reminising about the NYE 05 show they saw. It hurts every time :P

I'll have to watch some Whirly to see, but I am gutted they're not the originals.

I was at the closing of Turnmills, was a 'kin excellent night! I do hate new years though, best new years are house parties FACT.
