Daft Punk are ok, but I've never really been that fond of house (which, let's not beat around the bush, the kind of music they make). Sometimes they show flashes of brilliance, like Da Funk, Aerodynamic and Short Circuit, and a few others but mostly it's uninteresting house. There's no sounds that reach out and grab you, it all just seems to wash over me.

@ Iguana: Me to but we're not discussing that right now.
@Antype: my love for those tracks came from the live show I've seen them do some years back.
It was the same year that they released Homework.
Don't now the year exactly.
My memory is a bit blurry on monday morning.
I think 1996 or 1997.

I actually have to back anType up on this one, Rollin' and Scratchin', although different from the rest of Homework, still don't cut it for me. It's kinda good towards the end, but it takes like 5 minutes to get there. Up till that point it's pretty boring, although I reckon a quality remix could be made. Just take the beats at the start and make a melody over it.

I like Rollin' and Scrathin' - it's one of my favorite tracks from Homework. I know it's extremely repetitive, and I know that's a turn off to some people but I like how it builds and builds, and more texture is thrown in along the way. My one complaint about the song is that it is a little bit long, but hey who am I?
I don't know squat about djing but I think this track works well in a mix because it is relatively simplistic in terms of texture - you can lay another track/beats/melody on top of it which would make a good segue to yet another track, or maybe use a part of Rollin' and Scratchin as a bridge between songs. as for the whole Rollin' and Scratchin' track, I know it worked well in the Chems BBC session...

My one complaint about the song is that it is a little bit long, but hey who am I?thats funny, thats kinda what i like about most songs. i like the preserved mood it gives and a good song= a good mood and the longer i can feel that way the more beautifull the music is no matter how repetitive or long it seems.
