After a good night out theres nothing worse that coming home and stinking of fags, should this be accepted as the norm if you are going out or is it unfair that non smokers should have to put up with this. Another thing thats horrible is when smokers dnt consider that the end of there fag is on fire and it does hurt when they brush past you and catch you with it.
Ok so everyone has the right to smoke if want to and a full out ban on smoking in all public places does seem a little harsh. But should they do it or not?
But i spose smoking does have some minor benifits such as boasting the ecconomy.
Personally i think ban in public places, it cause its bad for everyones health and is unsociable.

your so right about coming home from an evening wreaking of smoke. when we went to new york we went clubing quite a few nights and one of the things we really notice was at the end of a night we didn't stink like an ashtray.
anyway last year i gave up smoking for 6 months and then it all went wrong. so this year i tried again and managed for 4 days. didn't have the right mental attitude this time round. it would help if a ban came in. smoking is bread from a social thing. take away the ability to smoke socially on a night out and its gonna help people to quit.
hasn't the ban in ireland been very successful with sales of cigarettes falling considerably?? i dont think there is any positive benift in smoking. i think the companies who make fags are unethical. they are targeting aisan countries now with very high nicotine very addictive cigaretts to keep making their profits.

As a smoker (and someone who's gotten on and fallen off the quitter's bandwagon a few times) it was very very hard to get used to at first. But I think in the long run it can be a positive thing especially in places like restaurants. People don't really need to inhale other peoples' smoke when they're eating. And kids don't need to breathe that shit in either.
A lot of people smoke casually and in social settings - so where do you go to get social? Pubs, clubs and the like. I know it sounds terrible, but I love to have a smoke with a drink, the two have always gone hand in hand for me. Smoking is a solitary as well as social thing for me, as terrible a habit it is. In California we are fortunate that the weather here is very nice to accomodate smokers who have to use outdoor patios if they want to enjoy a cigarette.
I do admit it's nice to go to a club and not have to worry about some inconsiderate fucktard lighting your clothes on fire, and it's nice to keep the smokers out in the open air, but I really do think as far as smoking in public establishments like bars, restaurants and clubs goes it should've been left up to the discretion of private enterprises. Smoking and non-smoking sections help too.

Don't you think smoking is a dirty, filthy habit? I can smell you dirty breath from here, the keys from which you typed coated with the yellow scum that comes from that cancer stick you place in your mouth daily.

As there isnt enough room to get my boogie on, i will nod my head, light up and enjoy the filth that they through out of the soundsystem. Saying that i am conscious about where my cigarette is pointed, even smokers dont like being burnt.
if a ban was introduced i dont think it wud bother me, i'd probably just drink more (something to do with my hands!me finks)

How old are you son? it's obvious you don't have a care for your personal health, if this is the case you arn't going to give a shit about other peoples, strangers.

Hi Iguanapunk.
You obviously have no idea who I am, so I'm going to be really, really nice and not get into a FLAEM WAR with you.
But I am 31, and no, I'm not particularly afraid of cancer, etc... By the time I have to worry about such things I'll either buy a pair of vat grown lungs or the cybernetic equivalent. I'm counting on science keeping ahead of whatever abuse I can give myself.
Besides, everyone has to die of something, don't they? Apologies to Dennis Leary, but they say smoking takes 10 years off your life, right? Who cares? It's the worst 10 years, the ones at the end, the crapping your pants in some filthy nursing home where your ungrateful children stuck you. Frankly, I don't care to live when I'm too old to get it up without the help of viagra.

Oh. my. god. X-D
It's my husband's calling in life. If he could make a career out of embarassing me, we'd both be retired and living comfortably on our own tropical island right about now.

Your arguement sounds alot like my roomates. And the whole deal about smoking taking 10 years off your life and those last ten yeras of your life being the shitties? well smoking doesnt change that. It just makes those 10 years come alot sooner
