you got carded for it. 8O in ireland as long as you can pay they will let anyone buy music

Yeah, for some reason corporate retailers are responsible for what other peoples' kids listen to. It's really just passing the buck because people don't want to take responsibility for what their kids are listening to and/or buying.

I've had to card people who were trying to buy Eminem and Green Day cd's. I feel like such an asshole doing this, but I can get suspended from my job or fired if I repeat the behavior. It's not like we're selling porn to these kids which is obviously against the law. But it's either carding or dealing with the kids' parents/aunts/uncles/grandparents when they call on the phone and bitch at us for selling their kids music that has swearing. It happens all the time, some employees slip up and sell explicit music to kids. What's worse is when the angry parents etc come in to the store just to bitch us out.

On the up side, there are a lot of kids who come in with their parents who let them buy music that has language on it no worse than what they hear on the playgrounds at school. Just from talking to some of these parents, they feel that music is art and you can't close your ears to waht's out there - so that's cool.

When I got carded for that PE album, it was a new policy. You could tell the poor guy behind the register didn't want to card me.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Very appropriate considering whirly's comments!

Primal Scream - Kill All Hippies

Dirty electro-punk

This was the song that turned me onto Primal Scream, it's just quality, even though it's not really typical of them. What am I saying .... Primal Scream just don't have a typical sound, they make it up as they go along! Probably why XTRMNTR is such an un-cohesive album
