Thanks for the advice, Whirly. I can't commit to anything right now, I need to wait until I find out if I'm in Pharmacy or not, which will be in the middle of July, but I'm going to keep it under strong consideration.

Unfortunately, the Canadian dollar is worth even less than the US dollar. $1 CDN = $0.80 USD, approximately, making it even more expensive. Now, of course, I'm the type that doesn't mind sleeping in cars, alleyways, hotel floors ( :D ), broom closets, etc., so that would save some cash..... unfortunately, beer speaks a language I cannot resist. :D

Dreams are so fucking weird and abstract. Gotta love them though. Even though some of them can put you in a funk all day.

If a big forum meet in London actually comes off, I will take out a loan if necessary. There's no way I'm sitting back here, being the only person (well, maybe there'll be one or two others) around to post here......

For Tottenham road read Tottenham Court Road, the Youth hostel is a good idea.

I live in the UK (Milton Keynes 35mins north of london by train) and I can tell you if you get 6 of you to group up you can get a bargain self catering cottage/farmhouse outside the shitty smelly dirty City and enjoy the real england not the polution, crime and expense... rant over.

Seriously tho, check out Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire or Buckinghamshire tourist information board and ask for cottages & apartments available over christmas I paid 30 a night for a 6 berth (2 double 2 single besds) in September 2004 for my wedding.

P.S. happy to be a ground agent for some local advice on Milton Keynes etc. .....
