"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.

"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

At least they can start solo projects but they'll get back somewhere down the line.

Agreed too!...spent some time with the bros. Oh,and it's perfect timing too since the guys are still working on the album.

nice...when will the comeback album be released and how much money will they earn?!

glad to know other people out there cannot stand their brothers as much as I do.

they'll be back, it sounds kinda childish. you know, when you're 4 and you pack up your bags to leave home.

oasis have been together for a long time...give the guy a break. but seriously, should play out your obligations first before you consider quitting a band...

ummmm.....Hasn't Noel quit the band on 3 or 4 seperate occaions back in the 90's and early 00's? Mind you he was back in the band within a month.

Another band where a pivitoal ember quits as of late. Here in Canada its still a shock to see Steven Page quit the Barenaked Ladies after close to 20 plus years. Mind you that was a while back.

agreement with pooter, Noel, go do another collab with T&E in your spare time. Cause getting knackered with Lily on a flight to Japan just isn't productive (or pshychedllic) anymore.

It would be great if the brothers (the chemical ones I mean) made new psychedelic songs with :noel:

And all that hapenned in Paris, at the Rock en Seine festival. This festival must be cursed. The last two years, Amy Whinehouse was on the line up, and she cancelled both times.

Oasis is my favourite band with The Chemical Brothers. I think Noel will do a solo album, but in the end they will get back together, it's not the first time they split during a long tour. I just hope the rest of the band will not release some material without their main and best songwriter.
