Sender - Loops (from the Confront Your Demons mix)

I absolutely love this track, coming as it does right after Nude Night. That finger-plucked synth line combined with a warm bassline and that oh-so-emotive guitar solo just does the trick.

fucking love that track as well. impossible to find the original.

FC Kahuna - Machine Says Yes

This track is irresistably sexy. Slinky vocals linger with sleazy synths to make me salivate.

Most of the rest of the album is top drawer, too, where mommy hides the peanut butter.

Propellerheads - On Her Majesty's Secret Service

That bassline is devastating. And my Bond craving is satisfied. Not a huge Propellerheads fan in general, though I like a few tracks, but this is cheesy and ace and massive at the same time.

Massive Attack - Protection

After listening to 75 minutes of hard house, I think my brain is thoroughly and well cooked. It's fine in small doses, but no wonder most drug trends in clubland enter through the hard house scene (after the gay scene, of course). I couldn't keep up the pace dancing for more than a few minutes without illegal attention to my CNS. And my head began to feel like mush after about an hour.

So, it's time to ratchet it down a notch or two.... Something quiet, chill, warm. A cup of green tea, perhaps.

(over the past several hours)

We are officially on a 24-hour+ run. Biochemistry exam is at 1:30 PM this afternoon (Monday). I will not get any sleep until it is done. Maybe not until Monday night's bedtime. I will not fail this exam. I will succeed. Sleep is for the weak and the dropouts. And until 5 minutes ago I had been doing it caffeine free for 8 hours.

I'm feeling inspired by a story I read today about the DJ who plans to break the Guinness record by DJing continuously for 100 hours. Sleep is not necessary.

Let the chill tunes roll on. Study hall is in session for consecutive hour (barring short breaks) number 14. Seven and a half to go, then I get to shower. :D

Kanye West - Spaceship

Best song ever about being stuck in a go-nowhere job and facing racial intolerance while smoking blunts and using space travel metaphors.
