anybody in the entire world whos emo, has a myspace, and theyre always on for as many hours a day they can stay awake, because they have absolutely nothing better to do with their time. odds are theyll come across the Chems with that ad there or not, and bring more fans. no matter who they are
more fans = good

Yes, as a matter of fact I am Errol aka "that cunt" (thanks for that, btw...).
First off, hold frickin moley - that "emotronic" tag has been up there for over a year, before I took over the day to day of Myspace, and I always considered more of a laugh than anything else. Its certainly not intended to pander to anyone in any way - sheesh.
But it's gone now, gone, gone I tell you!
Second, as far as Second Life is concerned, it's a new technology that a lot of people are enjoying in good positive ways and as such it made sense to have a presence there. There are bad people lurking in every online place these days, but we of course don't get involved with anything that supports or breeds such behavior and Second Life seems on top of such issues.
Otherwise, I'm sorry that some of you think the people on Second Life are freaks, but last time I checked The Chemical Brothers music is all about letting your freak flag fly.
Lastly, the reason to stream the album on MySpace was exactly as a few unselfish people pointed out - to reach more fans, old and new.
I find it a little disheartening when in one breath some criticize people for their less than stellar musical taste and then condemn the effort to convert them. I bet if I came round your houses and checked your record collections, there'd be some explaining from your past to do! (Unless you threw it all out cause you knew I was coming).
Music transforms people in dramatic ways - and interacting with open minded and future thinking people breeds the same in others. Is it wrong to wish that young people were being exposed to better more innovative music (and subsequently, people) instead of the same old crap?
My life and my way of thinking was transformed 12 years ago by this band. To not want others to share that experience would be a sad commentary on me.
I look forward to the countless flames that are sure to come my way...but I'm happy that there are people passionate enough about the band to have needed to write this.
I love you all

Hey Errol, stash here (my account is still fuct), just wanted to say, yes, freak flag is great, but you gotta draw the line at people who dress up like disney characters and pretend to fuck children. I'm so open minded that shit falls in and out of it all the time, but you gotta have some standards. I know, you're not allowed to have full on horse sex in ALL of second life, just mature areas... oh, wait, the Chems event WAS in a 'mature' area. It's not new, either, it's just gotten a lot of press lately.
Thanks for coming by tho, and thanks for taking that lame tag off of the myspace. See you at Nocturnal (I'll be the guy in the Emotronic fur-suit, the one that looks like the rabbit from Donnie Darko :D )
