I usually don't go for the dancing type of music that much of the time, but I'm looking for something with a steady beat. What should I check out ? lol. I should go to a club.

I wasn't on anything when I posted that, but I know the feeling really well,( All it does now is make me nervouse). I'm giving you an idea of what kind of music I'm looking for. Beacause sometimes I almost get into a mood like that naturally. The truth is that I only drink coffee and smoke ciggarettes. I havn't even gone out for a drink for about a year.

I'm hungover on a Wednesday.

Drinking is overrated.

I need to make this a less-frequent occurrence.

MDMA, however...

MDMA ? Well some people havn't done that, But they've used stuff like Coke, Meth, Speed and Ritalin. Smoking weed for a few years and taking acid 2 to 3 times a week for a period of two years is a differant story. Well... You know that was the 90's for ya. X is something that came out later.

Methylenedioxymethamphetamine is the active ingredient in X. It was first synthesized by a chemist working for Merck in 1912. It started to grow in recreational use in the mid 1970s, and its therapeutic use grew largely because of Alexander Shulgin synthesizing the drug for himself in 1976 and introducing it to his colleagues for use during therapy sessions.

It's odd to me why people choose to do the drugs they do. I'm a very infrequent drug user when it comes to drugs outside of alcohol and marijuana. And even those two I manage with moderation, even hesitation at times. But why people are more inclined to use drugs as worthless as cocaine and amphetamine-based stimulants as opposed to taking drugs you can actually learn from such as mushrooms, LSD or MDMA absolutely baffles me.

@Jittem: Is there a recording of this set he did at Matter?

Weed is my baby, opiates rock my socks, MDMA is bliss. And stimulants are not worthless. The end.

I don't want to come off as a self-righteous prick.

I'll point out, however, that there are a number of chemical adventurers out there who advocate learning through drug use and find, collectively, that there isn't much, if anything, to be gained from stimulants.

MadPooter, MDMA didn't reach my area untill 2000 and when it did it was extreamly hard to get. I wasn't talking about when it was first syntheasized. Now as for the brain chemically certain euphoric stimulants are dopamine agonists,( D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6 especially D2. ) and certain euphoric hallucinogens are serotonin agonists, ( 5ht, 5ht2, 5ht3 especially 5ht2 ). What is intresting is that you expect MDMA to target the dopamine recepters because of its chemical make up, but instead it targets the serotonin, but with a less or non hallucinogenic result.......,but I can't say what its like. CYP conversion of drugs from the liver through the blood stream and heart to brain is a whole nother thing, but I'm not going to get into that. Whoa.... I'm way off track.... The topic of my theard is about music with a good steady beat to it. I checked out a few things like, DAFT PUNK, STAR DUST, APPOLLO ?, Star Dust kind of had the beat I was looking for, but I'm still searching.

MDMA is a stimulant. Not a psychedelic. But who cares about learning in the first place?

MDMA is definitely not a stimulant. It is classified as a psychoactive drug, though it does have some psychedelic properties.

And to answer your question, many people care about learning.

from my experiences,

pills can be both stimulant and psychedelic. It's really a lucky dip when you decide to dunk dingers.
