Whirly, in your diary put "New Year's Eve, Gurnmills, London".
You know it makes sense!
New Year's has been at the front of my mind since 2005-06! I don't want to let it get away this year. The hubby and I were talking about it last night. We've never been in the financial position to where having a savings account actually made sense, but now that things are finally looking up, we can start socking away some money. It's going to take a bit of planning, but I have faith we can make it happen.

Oh shut up with all this "deserving a break" shit, chemical slaves or stfu!
:P
Ha, you do realise that they've made enough money that they need never play another note and still live in luxury? So we should be grateful for every gig they play and every recording they make from now on. ;)
Actually, Ed chatted with some of us at Gurnmills and PTB was very much a make or break album. If this one had bombed, the Chems would probably have been the latest of the electronica giants to call it a day.
And what a tragedy that would have been, as PTB was a killer album. I think it was a mistake for Orbital to break up too, as the Blue Album just gets better each time you hear it.

I would have been sad if Push the Button bombed and the Chems called it a day.
But the good thing is it didn't bomb and the Chems are here to stay!! For now at least. I know good things come to an end eventually, but am glad the Brothers still have it in them to keep on doing what they do. I love 'em for it and can't wait to hear what new tunes they churn out.

Tom and Ed are currently working with Britney Spears on a new song called 'Oops... I'm Pregnant Again! After this awesome collaboration they are going to concentrate on making a Country album, which is a long-time dream of Ed. This album will probably feature collabs with Garth Brooks, The Reverend Horton Heat, Mojo Nixon and... Britney Spears, who's going to sing a well-known song by Country legend Johnny Cash.

wtf!? Are they back in the studio right now??? Where was this mentioned before this thread?
Unless someone knows otherwise, it's just speculation at the moment. There has been no offical words from either Tom or Ed, or the label on what's going on at the moment. The only thing we've got is when some of us spoke to Ed on NYE, who said they were gonna take it easy this year - no shows or releases planned.
But that was 5.5 months ago - things may have changed since then!
