I have to do a slideshow for new testament! The worst course on earth, made even worse when you don't believe any of it!

Discuss the New Testament from an evolutionary psychology point of view, as to how the Hebrew Bible "prophecies" the NT "fulfills" are fictionalized stories created to fill the gaps of human socio-psychological need. Pay particular attention to how the texture and grain of the Torah reimages the mythologies of other, earlier civilizations. Note the changes in emphasis, theistic concepts (envisionment of YHWH) and development of the Israelies as a nation through the text.

[Really, you can't possibly begin to discuss the New Testament on its own terms. Any rational discuss of the New Testament will be rooted primarily in the Hebrew Bible.]

Also, proceed to demonstrate how the characters of the New Testament (notably Peter in the book of Acts) consistenly misinterpret the Hebrew Bible and consciously layer Jesus on top of these misinterpretations.

Or you could just suck it up and get a good mark. ;-)

Save the energy for important fights like Star Wars vs. Star Trek. :D

..... and Crash wins Best Picture in an upset...... and the world collectively yawns. Didn't see Brokeback Mountain yet (who can afford to go to the theatre anyways?), but wasn't particularly impressed with Crash when I saw it. Decent movie, but nothing spectacular. Could be the front-runner for Best Hit You Over the Head With Its Theme of Inter-Racial Disharmony though. *shrug* *apathy*

Ludacris wasn't bad in it, though. Made me laugh. :D

Can anyone tell me where the comedy phrase "Got Milk?" actually came from? I've seen/heard it in loads of stuff, but wondered where it came from originally

Yawn is right. Crash was a pretty good movie as it was happening but I agree with everything you said up there. Especially that last bit. It's one of those "message" films that seemed to try especially hard at some points.

I saw Brokeback Mountain and it was an excellent movie. It made me sad and angry. It was a well made film all around, a very brave film that successfully handles subject matter that's still considered deviant and taboo in so many parts of the U.S.. Should have beat out Crash imo.

Dude honestly. Let me tell you one thing about me and my ex.

We broke up like 1.5 years ago so if there's somebody i am over with it's him. He even has a new gf again and i couldn't care less tbh. Unlike last year. I guess not many people are used to it that people actualy DO stay good friend after they break up. He's an awesome person and i glad were still mates.

*Uch* enough getting moody and definsive and girly *uch*

Back before I was married, I just couldn't imagine wanting to talk to someone I used to fuck but wasn't fucking anymore... unless they were my drug hook-up or something.

it just seems like a wierd waste of time to me.
