Hi caddy, I see what you mean in terms of preference, but if you were looking to see them perform live, and you knew this was to be a dj set I wonder why you bothered going in the first place? I think it's a shame but to each their own, we all have our preferences.



Here's my 2 cents: The live experience of a full blown Chems set provides a different vibe than a dj set - both have their merits and both have their downsides. Personally I prefer the Chems live because I dig their music so much and enjoy the live experience, I love seeing and hearing and feeling what they do on stage. But I also enjoy the intimacy that a Chems dj set offers. I've yet to see the Chems play at a club but I'm looking forward to the day when I can witness them do their thing in small setting. What's also cool about a Chems dj set is they are sharing not only their own tunes, but premiering and sharing tunes they are working on and tunes that will (hopefully) be released. It's an extra added bonus! Another thing about their dj sets is they are playing music by other artists that they enjoy and want to share. I am glad they work in both ways because for the fans it's like seeing and experiencing the Chems in 2 different lights, and for the Chems it allows them to play the field using 2 different mediums.
