I like her voice, but i don't like electro bands working with singers... Except for two or three CB songs. I don't want Norman Cook to take anothe alias, I just want another album which would sound like Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars or You've Come a long way baby...

That's probably a little harsh, Ben_j, but I know what you mean. I've only got his "Live on Brighton Beach" mix and while there are some points on there that I really love, it does bog down a bit.
But I mean, he is a really fun DJ and I look forward to seeing him spin at some point.
Maybe if all goes according to the tentative info irish fan posted a few weeks ago, you'll get your chance at Coachella.
I missed the chance to see him when he was up in Los Angeles doing a gig at the Natural History museum. Damn it all, why did he have to play on a friggen week night??
His sets are totally fun for shaking that ass. Saw him a while back at Coachella and he went on before the Chems. That was a great nite, a wonderful opportunity to see Fatboy and the Chems back to back. It was sort of like a dream - when Fatboy started my feet seemed to leave the ground and I drifted to the front where I stayed pretty much all the way through until the Chems finished their set. The energy he exuded from the decks was good times and he is such a jovial guy in his element. His crowd were great, really nice people and up for a good time.
Would love to see him again!

"Macy 'Marge Simpson' Gray" X-D

But of course Fatboy taking the easy road and make Halway Between the Long Way Baby Pt. 2 would be... too easy. I don't know... I guess I kind of look at it like I wouldn't want the Chems to make another Dig Your Own Hole or another Surrender or
Can't say I'm fond of the Macy Gray tracks with Fatboy but I applaud him for taking the plunge. If I remember correctly Fatboy mentioned to Tom and Ed how he wanted to work with vocalists and it was them who encouraged him to ring a few people up.
I dig Song For Shelter, the vocals capture the spirit you get when you're in a club having the time of your life, when the dj is a hero for the night and playing the songs that make you feel so good... It's a great track and it's more than meets the ear on the surface... I get deep I get deep I get deep...

Ah, his mix CD in Essential Selction vol. 1 are very good as well, its more ... funky, I love that one too, its the first thing to turn me on to him, I really dislike the Paul Okenfield disc 2 that comes with it though, but heck, both cost as much as one, so I don't really care 8)
But, does anyone know about the Basement Jaxx one? I'm pretty sure it has to be new material seeing as they already have a 'best of' out recently. ^_^ I'm excited! WOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo!

Personally I think Norman is great and I enjoy seeing him dj, its allways drunken easy going fun. Hes not up himself and allways has a good laugh. Like you whirly I was into him alot in a certain era, when I was just getting into dance music. But despite some of his records not being up to the chems high standards I still think a man who has done alot for dance music and can attract 250,000 people to a beach in the UK and also hoast the best beach events ever isnt a bad and deserves alot of respect.
Hear hear dude. Couldn't put it better myself! :D

I know it's not good to do the same album again and again, but when I listen to Palookaville or Human after All (Daft Punk), I really want FBS and DP to do another good album like they did before... The Chemical Brothers always did the same kind of tunes, but always did fresh things, so why couldn't they do it like that to ?

I found this, shwoing artist releases this year:
Artists Releasing Albums in 2006:
* Air - Late Night Tales
etc
All these are confirmed for released in 2006 by HMV/Amazon. But I will buy all of them but maybe Fatboyslim and Tiga.
May be just me thinking this but Late night tales sounds like one of those well known mix cds (like FabricLive) Anyone know if this is a comp or an album by Air themselves?

Cool, glad you agree. I also think FBS is over hyped at time by people who are not that into dance music, hes commercial, thats why people love him.

My view on this is pretty much the same as you guys, I'm not into all of his stuff but I respect him because hes good at what he does and hes a good bloke, very genuine and loves what he does. I remember someone on here saying he went through a period of depression before making his last album, I wouldn't have wished that on him!

Groove Armada - i think theyve done both, but back to mine is def wicked
rae & christian
zero 7
tommy guerro
flaming lips
another good comp series is the abstract funk theory ones. good ones are mixmaster morris, carl craig and ian o'brien. more deepness and tech than chill, but really cool home listening.

I've heard about 2 hours of the 3 hours set of Bondi Beach... It's truly good. I really love the last part, with Sunset(Bird of Prey)/Slash Dot Dash/Cangiva/Seven Nation Army
Is this on CD? Or is it like a download only thing? I would love to buy it if its on CD or DVD ... and... well, I wouldn't love downloading it :(
