i like the album, but i don't understand why "Left Right" is there. the production is ace, but it strikes me as a particularly half-baked political message. Bush and Saddam on the same team? what is this about? to me, this track really sinks the feel of the whole album. :(

WTF! Why does everyone seem to not like Left Right? Usually, I hate rap because the lyrics or tune... or both are uninspiring and always taliking about how they are ghetto poor boys when they're really millionaires.
But this songs are truly ingenious in the way they make you picture the lyrics like at the start. Plus the Bush and Saddam are on the same side thing is just trying to say "that because of these idiots, there is innocent blood shed for no reason." Really makes you think... I actually think the way this song clashs with the next that it works perfectly to balance the album.

PTB gets better everytime I listen to it. my fave tracks are the boxer, hold tight london, the big jump, and surface to air. not too keen on that "would you like to come inside?" track, though it is growing on me. I think that this may be the best chemical yet. Simply amazing. Really love all of the 4/4.

sentientsynthesizer, my sentiments exactly - this record gets better every time you listen to it. It goes deeper and deeper with each listen if you let it. There is so much emotion and depth that for me, even continuous listening 3 weeks on and I am still discovering new things here and there that I didn't catch before. I really like that this is a record that has proven amongst people here to be a grower, but also a record you can grow with. If that makes any sense! X-D
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

After people have mentioned it, everytime I think of Come Inside I think of the bassline from White Lines 8) .
totally.
I keep thinking maybe it's a nod to Shaun of the Dead.
urr, why would you think that? :?

This bloke at the record shop had a black promo shirt for PTB with the album cover printed on the front and The Chemical Brothers printed in blue at the top on the back. He said they got three and were for staff only. }:-@
It would've have been cool to wear to the gig tomorrow, and ever after.
They had posters everywhere too.
Anywho, they started playing the album and I wanted to wait around listening to it just to hear it in a random place, but I had to go.
