I was thinking of going over to the Kylie Forum and asking if they knew anything about anything in regard to this remix, but I am not the kind that like to travel out of this forum aka my "safe zone."

I say who cares if kylie is pop music... Fever is one of my guilty pleasures, Kylie has a real sexy voice, that's like porn for your ears (and so it comes back around again to the chems-porn connection). It's only music, and it's not like a chems release. If the chemicals did a song with Kylie for their album, I would say then people have more of a right to bitch and what not. But this is a side thing, you'll probably never hear anything about it on this site (excluding the disog). It would be like complaining that Tom and/or Ed golf on the weekends and are therefore sell out yuppies, kinda far fetched but the analogy is somewhere in there. If the music is good, who cares where it's from

Here, I did the work for all you strapping young lads not wanting to stray from the safety of manly music... like the Chemical Brothers, hehehe. I am not afraid!!! I travelled over to a couple of Kylie forums, the first one being her official site kylie.com I read in the news portion that "Slow", among other songs on her new record Body Language, is a new direction because it is slower (obviously, 'Slow' couldn't be a 120 bpm song now, could it?) and " Those expecting Fever mark II are in for a surprise when they get to hear Body Language... immersed in cutting edge prodcution, the album's touches of electro and hip hop give it a truly minimal feel, as highlighted on lead single 'Slow'". Basically, Body Language is a new route, still melodic and dancey, but more cutting edge (working with different producers and what not) but still expected to be commercially appealing. O.K. fair enough, she is a pop artist after all. As for the forum people, a lot of them seemed to be disappointed, even downright pissed because they were expecting more up tempo stuff like Kylie's previous works.

And if you're interested in hearing and viewing a clip from the video "Slow" (come on now, boys, you know you wanna) a window pops up when you open up the page at kylie.com. Despite the shit connection I got and choppy windows media player, the song imo is sounds decent enough and quite catchy, very sexy, with some interesting melody and you get to see Kylie in a cleavage baring dress rolling around and looking oh-so-sultry amidst half naked men.

The second place I went to was kylie.co.uk. Didn't really check the news there, as this was not an official site (but it was the second one that popped up in a search.) I lurked a bit on the forum, and for the most part the people there seemed a lot more open and pleased with the direction Slow was leading the new record in.

So taking that info from her fans, it seems like the Kylie camp is divided. I suppose there's a 50/50 chance that the Kylie/Chem skeptics might actually find the remix of "Slow" decent and not hate the Chemical Brothers forever. But then again since we're all diverse and some of us eat sushi and others don't, the Chemical camp may be divided once again, kind of like it was with... you know, that collab with the guy from the Flaming Lips. *wink* ;)

Notice the pic of the record at the top of the article. Looks like, as of now, it is a white label.

I think Kylie belongs in the same line of artist as Madonna. Indeed Britney or Christina would be afwul but Kylie seems OK. And the brothers will do a good job for sure. I remember when Madonna was recording "Ray of light" she asked Liam Howlett of Prodgigy to produce that album. That was because the were hyped at that moment. The Chems are not hyped at all. In fact they are killed by the press, in Holland anyways. So it shows that Kylie has a good ear for great music. That remix will be great. I am just wondering on what it will be released? It's not on the 2 single cd's that will be released 3 november. Maybe just the white label 12". Ebay here we come!!!

P.S. Of course Liam didn't produce "Ray of light" THANK GOD (and Liam) FOR THAT. That would be awful a Madonna record in my Prodigy collection ;-)

chemical brothers remix is on whitelabel 12". they couldn't finish the remix in time, so it won't be released in november. maybe later.

sasha produced some tracks on 'ray of light' - his skills are amazing. and in my opinion, it's a very good album. madonna hasn't done anything good ever since 'ray of light' was released.
