My deepest sympathies to all who have lost their loved ones. It's a tragedy and a shame to whoever can be held responsible for that.
Aside from that horrible accident, I really love the anthem of Anthony Rother "The Art of Love". Great synthesizer action going on there.
May there be love for all those who have suffered and are still suffering!!!

The result of the preliminary investigation by public prosecution is that the love parade was contrary to law... makes it even worse

alright, so why do they find out that an event with hundreds of thousands of people was illegal only a year after? why don't they find out in advance? did they really want to know in advance?
love is all.

I remember reading something like 3 millions last year...meh, disinformation.
By the way, I guess it will relieve the victim's families to know that it was contrary to the law

well, they should probably have checked before giving permission to this event. it seemed to have been quite obvious that wenn more than a million guests are expected but the area hardly safely fits half of this amount (the old goods station was supposed to even hold about 250,000 only) that they should've cancelled the event or moved it to another location. they've had trouble before (bochum if I remember right), they haven't learned from it.
love is all.

This is bad news for electronic music events. At least, it would likely be the end of electronic music events here in the States if something like that happened. People use any excuse to shut down electronic music events here because they believe it to be in the public good, because "raves" are inherently bad and dangerous. There is something to be said about underground raves, but the open, secure, electronic music festivals that I have been to here are very safe events.
The irony is that people get drunk here and do stupid shit at sports games all the time and no one says anything. At least, no one says anything on the congressional or state legislative level.
I don't know the laws in that country so I can't speculate on how the fact that it was being held illegally will play out. It's a locally tragic event no matter what happens, and still absolutely sad to read about.
