I thought the C4 coverage was piss poor, to be honest. Compare it to what the BBC did for the Glastonbury set in June. The C4 stuff was disjointed and totally unimmersive.

Furthermore, what exactly was I supposed to be seeing with that UVA stuff? They kept going on about how they were going to light up the buildings and stuff but I didn't see anything special - certainly nothing compared to the Isle MTV Trieste stuff from a couple of years ago.

Very disappointing, and I stayed up 'til 1.30 on a school night for that? Pah.

Hoping the coverage of the Electric Proms gig will be better. Does anyone have any more info on that - i.e. whether the rumoured additional special guests are still on the cards? *cough* Mr Gallagher

Hi graysquire

Just seen your posts after posting a thread myself! I would be very grateful if I could get a copy of the prog on DVD. Even if you all say it wasn't all that good!

From a point of view of actually been at the gig when it was been recorded I thought this was decent coverage. Admittedly the adverts and Calvin Harris bits were annoying but to wake up this morning and have it already on sky plus was a blessing. The encore bit with united visual artists looked great on TV and sent a shiver down my spine.

Rothchops - happy to get copies made, however I'm away from home on business until the 22nd October, so won't be able to get round to it until then. If I can (never done it before) I'll try to convert it and upload it somewhere.

Ah - despite the C4's shortcomings, you all across the pond are so lucky you get the Chemical Brothers on television!! I'm surprised at all the ads you had to go through - that's like American television where we get 3-8 minutes of programming and at least 3-5 minutes of television commercials in between. I guess it's OK if you need to take a few potty breaks and whatnot or if you have the luxury of dvr but it's downright annoying when ads harsh your groove when you're trying to watch something you really want to see.

garethm, the Treiste footage from MTV was gorgeous and magical! It raised the bar as far as live footage goes and overal it would be a hard one to top television-wise.

I'm interested in a copy graysquire, if it isn't too much trouble to send it off to the US when you get a chance. I know sending things overseas can be a pain but if you could, that would be so wonderful. If not, that is OK too - totally understandable.

Graysquire,

You're a star. Happy to wait until the end of the month, not a problem at all.

Shout me when you're back and I can send a drink or two up to sunny Scotland!

22nd of October eh? Thats just before my trip up to the Koko! God, why can't it be sooner.

got it on video. olk skool style on my chemicals tape along with bestival and isle of mtv. best bit of the coverage was in believe where they split the screen in two one showing tom and ed playing and the other showing the direct link of the visuals. nice interview as well with flatnose george as well in there
