Anybody watching this one?

I don't care much about the actual contest/contestants since the majority of the songs are really poor but as this year's edition is organized here in Helsinki I would be interested to know what you think of the production of the show ... the lighting rigs, the inserts between the tracks, etc. ?

The only track that amused me in the semifinal was Israel's entry called "Push The Button" :D Supposedly controversial but funny!

I won't be watching it on TV cos the voting on it stinks. UK won't win because of the Iraq war and countries such as Norway/Sweden and Balkan countries will always vote for each other. Greece and Turkey will never vote for each other but will both vote for Cyprus, the voting for it has nothing to do with the music imo.

Be honest, the music at those shows isn't exactly vote-worthy on most occasions.

I won't be watching it, i'm working tonight. I'm pissed off cos Doctor Who won't be on this week because of it.

it's worth watching in Britain just to hear Terry Wogan's commentary! I did also think that Push the Button was an amusing title!

I'll be a little more honest, though i said that most of the music at these shows wasn't really vote-worthy, i couldn't help but vote about a hundred times for Lordi last year! Hilarious!

And you're right, Terry Wogan is what keeps me watching when i do watch it.

it is hilarious - i reckon you get more cred for nil points than winning to be fair. which looks like where we're heading! the music is the wosrt type of euro-tackle imaginable.

the block voting is hilarious, especially the eastern countrys. terrys dry predictive commentary is well house.

top notch ironic viewing.

Have to admit I did watch it in the end(last hour or so). To reply to soundertow the show seemed pretty well organised apart from the presenter in the 'green room' (where the performers sat whilst the votes came in) who probably made even the Finns embarassed! Well done to Serbia who won with a rather stirring song which I didn't think was bad to be fair.

Russia should have won cos they were hotties!

Ukraine a.k.a Dame Edna

Serbia a.k.a. Harry Potter, rubbish

But Wogan was a joker, hilarious.

The Illustrated Beginner's Guide To Eurovision Voting :D

(The annoying girl in the pink dress was a Finnish stand-up comedian who has gotten stuck to the unfunny bimbo role. I have no idea why they put her on the show.)
