It was '91, I was 6 - my brother was 9 - and this was our favourite tune.

NOSTALGIA!

Haha, I remember this!! What a trip down memory lane. I was 19 when this came out and the KLF were a staple in the clubs I'd go to... I mean, stumble in and out of... when I did my little stint in the UK.

There was this song too that was a club staple back when I was 19 (old enough to know better, too young to care :P ):

And unfortunately, this song down below was all over the radio and in certain clubs during that same time I was there.

I couldn't escape this song... It was the only thing I was glad about when I left England because I could finally rid myself of this song. But, when I got back home, this song was just breaking in the States.

One more from that era... Pop Will Eat Itself. I'd better stop or I'll be on youtube and here all day hunting down the memories and getting all nostalgic and stuff. And nobody wants me to do that.

Spooky... looked out old KLF stuff a month or so ago, and seem to have been hearing them a lot in the last few weeks in the strangest places! Mu Mu!

Old School Thread! mind you when most of the songs you guys were talkig about came out I was about 6 years old or so (1991).

@whirly and graysquire - yah right said fred becoming wedding song fodder has just made it lost all meaning.

my old school song though extremely popular would have to be

I remember me and my older sis (by 2 years) raving it out to this back in elementary. That was before we had any concept of a rave anyways. It was funny because even then we were the only kids listening to anyting like this. Most kid were about offspring and metallica if I remember correct.

I am SO sorry I ever even put Right Said Fred in this thread. Looking back now, the decent thing I should've done was put a NSFA disclaimer in that post.

Sorry again. I guess I could excercise the powers that be and get rid of that post so nobody else is traumatized with that despicable earworm...?

Oh yes, Rhythm is a Dancer. I feel so old, haha.

Here's another one that borders on very cheesy, back when it was new... but now it's kinda cool in a reminiscent sort of way... Everybody's FREEeeeee to feel good! If anyone watches the Venture Brothers, this song was used in a bit where Dr. Venture goes off to find himself and he ends up raving with his new rave family. Anyway, the song is below:

In 1991, I was 16. I was heavy into this new dude named Trent Reznor, and just beginning to listen to some new band no one had heard of called Nirvana.

Ah, thanks for the memory trip there...

I remember being at a Boy Scout meeting and we had some people come in and do a demonstration of Karate, and they had this song in the backround. I thought it was most amazing thing ever.

Ah those where the days!!! Just started going out when those songs came out (Snap, KLF Sabrina Johnson) Another song that was played to death around that time was Insanity by Oceanic. Anyone remember that? As for the KLF what about Justified And Ancient with Tammy Wynette
