Looks like we won't hear anything new for a good while.... I mean, hell, they were on the road for almost 3 years straight behind We Are The Night, so give them some time to write some new stuff for us to shake our asses to!

It is difficult to hear the "after sunglasses" track and the epic "last track" and know they will not be released any day now as EBWs. An EP certainly would be nice, but if the Chems are making an entire album with tracks of this quality, I suppose it will be worth the wait.

I know there was some rumor back in 08 about ending the live tour after Olympia and restarting with a new set up in 10. Hoping that is still part Tom and Eds plan. I'm already well on my way to having the funds to head back to Fuji Rock.
Also considering the rash of DJ sets this summer we are likely to see something in near future. In 04 they did a ton of live gigs before PTB was released. 06 they did some DJ gigs in prep for WATN. I kinda hope that they do the live summer like they did in 04. play the big shows, then release the album later. leave us wanting more.

does whirly know something we don't know?
i still would love a new ep with maybe 3 or 4 new songs that will only appear on that ep.
and a new dvd with some new live-stuff and the other videos that have been released since 93-03 (get yourself high, galvanize, believe, the boxer, do it again, the salmon dance & midnight madness) is also welcome.

I wish I knew great Chemical secrets.
I pretty much know what everyone else knows - those who've been poking around this here website and posting now and again.
There's clues everywhere. In that Ibiza interview that was posted. The recent DJ sets with roadtesting new material. And what I heard at Coachella a few months ago, the only way to describe it is having heard the future. Even the home page of this website is redesigned. I can't think of why else anyone would bother with switching up the home page and modifying the website unless there were was something on the horizon.
Right now it's the quiet before the storm. As it always is when there's the lull between albums But I think these hints at the future I believe are more of an indication of "when" rather than "if".

does anyone have any links to clips of these new tracks you speak of? Alas I didn't get a chance to catch the lads DJing over the summer...
