We may have won the battle but the war is still on.

The sad thing is that this whole thing will make Bush relect his ass in the white house }:-@

Hmm, which one is next on the line? Iran? North Korea? The American cultural cleansing project marches on!

It's good that they rid Saddam out of his power but was it worth the price? I think the worst thing about the attack is that international politics have allowed USA to trample on a sovereign state. Should we assault other countries just because we feel that they would be better off without their current leaders?

Let's get that guy some shaving cream and a razor for Christmas.

So that he can shave his beard himself.

So that those americans don't have to do that for him anymore.

I was very bitter to see him in the shape he was in. First of all, he was sleeping in a hole in the ground that no human should live in. Second, he looked like shit.

I was hoping when they found him that he would be clean cut and would be sitting on a golden toilet...he just looks washed up

He didn't call you a foolish American.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Saddam is a broken man now. Though I never supported this war, don't support an occupation, and have been very very critical of the Bush administration, I'd be a fool to deny that I am glad he's caught, like what's been said before, from what we know and understand this is a closed chapter for the Iraqi people... but it ain't gonna be over til it's over and that's not going to happen tomorrow or the next day. There's a long road to hoe here. Whether or not the price of Saddam's head is worth the chain of events (which may or may not bring the outcome that America so desires) is yet to be seen. I find this... scarey.

As a friend put it the other day, this turn of events is the epitome of a good thing happening for all the wrong reasons. At least that's how I see it, too.

In the meantime I plan on continuing to be critical of the Bush administration and plan on being a part of the voting public to oust him from office come election time.

I have mixed feelings about Saddam's capture. Yes, it is a good thing but in the end it all part of an illegal war driven by hidden motivations. People say the US have got what they wanted but they already have it - oil.

...and there's still no sign of those 'Weapons of Mass Destruction'.
