Well.
I don't buy into Daft Punk's image, marketing, hype, etc. They're overrated and ride way too far on their hype, and I really have not been all that excited about the new album. My point is, I don't mindless buy into the Daft Punk brand name, never have and never will. That being said...
I love the sound of this track. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

I'm just fed up with all the buzz around daft punk and their new album. We got billboards in the street and in the underground in Paris, we got videos weekly released about their collaborations. Now I've just read their costumes have been made by Yves Saint Laurent.
This song is definitely not worth such a buzz. This is not how music should be done. This is called marketing.
Is the problem really that the music is being marketed too much? Or is it that you simply don't like the music that's being marketed? Hype can be a whole lot of fun, and completely worth it when the end result lives up to/surpasses the hype - I can cite both Further and Don't Think in that respect.
This music is being marketed in a different way, with TV spots and seemingly random musical popups like this one in Coachella and the Wee Waa album party. Nowadays you just get "hey Will.I.Am and Britney Spears just made some fucking terrible song, we're going to play it on the radio for three years and spam your Spotify. you have no choice but to like it, pay for it, and endorse the lack of artistic exp
ression". The marketing for this album is fun, a little quirky, and most importantly, the music being marketed is not pure crap. I wouldn't mind being bombarded with this, it would be a great change of pace from the terrible music that's whored out beyond belief by every media outlet with any sway in the popular music arena.
