Friday I bought a GeForce 7600GT OC and bought the son a Nintendo DS Lite, with the New Super Mario Bros... nice way to drop $400.

Nice! :D

Money's farking tight at the moment, I haven't bought clothes in weeks 8O and believe me that's impressive for me. I have 16 pairs of jeans ffs, all of which I wear (not at the same time ). I blame the football, beers and pies.

I've told myself I'm not going to buy any significant quantity of clothes until late-August, so as to facilitate paying down my debts, but it's so hard to walk past quality clothing establishments. I do need a new belt though.

I just bought Hard-Fi's album last night, but haven't listened to it yet.

Need to buy intoxicants for next weekend's festival and I should get on that before this weekend.

Need to go buy food because I'm hungry and there's nothing in the house.

hahaha

I've got to work in a couple hours and one beer tends to turn into six all too fast. Grocery store is about half a block away, so that will probably get the nod, although if I'm fast I can still get McDonald's breakfast before 11:30 hits. Shit, I think they stop serving breakie at 11. Damn. Well, now I don't know what I want to eat...

What is it with fast food restaurants that stop serving breakfast when it's still in the a.m.?

We went to Burger King a couple of months ago. It was 10:45 in the morning and they had stopped serving breakfast at 10:30! So yeah, nothing quite like a crispy fish sandwich to stuff in my pie hole at breakfast. Even when I did eat hamburgers, I certainly didn't want to eat them first thing in the morning.

Breakfast on the otherhand, is great anytime of day.

Here in Paris, a ticket would cost me 55€ ... That's pretty damn expensive !! For example, U2 in a 70 000 persons stadium was the same price, and Massive Attack will be in a 1500 persons theater...

TicketMaster is the devil, it truly is. We used to call it TicketBastard or TicketMonster when I worked at Tower. The convenience charges are a complete rip - all the extra fees (with maybe the exception of the facility charge and tax) make very little sense. If I were to purchase tickets in person at a TickerMaster outlet for a New York show, they'd charge more for a "convenience fee." What convenience are they speaking of, really? I'm there in person buying the ticket, it gets printed on the little machine. They are a company that pays their employees shit, and TicketMaster facilities like the ones at Tower got absolutely no perks - no discounts, no chances at reserving seats, not even extra pay for the poor souls who got stuck running such a shoddy outfit. Oh, and don't forget the extra fees you have to pay if you want to use your credit card to pay when you buy your tickets at a facility. It stinks, but when most events are TicketMaster events, what other choice do you have?

It is expensive, but that's supply and demand and the business politic of touring, Brother Ben. U2 spend months at a time touring the globe and they go on 2 and 3 legs per tour, many times playing multiple nights in one city - they can afford to sell 70,000 person stadium and offer tickets at a somewhat affordable price whereas a smaller act like Massive Attack has to make as much as they can get with a much smaller tour and much smaller venue.

The Who are coming to Winnipeg and tickets will range from nosebleeders at $75 to top tickets at $225. And no, that does NOT include fees, taxes, etc.

$90 to see Massive Attack isn't bad. I paid $85 to see Tool 4 years ago. And had to travel 500 miles for the privilege.

I hate Ticketmaster as well, but I'm not not going to see my favourite bands over a few bucks.

I entered the free ticket contest you linked to on the Massive Attack board, Bosco. If by some fluke I win, I'm ditching school for a few days and heading to Chi-Town. :)

Appreciate the offer, but I really shouldn't miss school. So we're going to let fate decide if I go or not. If it's meant to be, I'll win. If not, then not. :)

Thanks though! :D
