Forgot about that thread, it's been so long since I've posted in it! (All my recent battered happenings having been in the Early New Years thread.)

Whatever synchs up to Surrender, mostly.

The one we watched new years eve was Appleseed, and I'm wondering if it's some new version... I'd swear I'd seen it before, but this one looked like a weird mix of CGI and regular animation.

Of course, I might have just been hallucinating that it was CGI. That happens sometimes.

Nope.

For New Year's Eve we didn't do much - we went out for a meal at a BBQ joint, then settled in for the evening with stash's mom, his sis and her husband Eric. We watched a couple of flicks and drank a bit. Our son stayed up til midnight which was a first for him on NYE. It was all very anti-climatic for him, but he was very excited to be the first person in the house to have the first pee of the New Year. Hearing him shout from the bathroom proclaiming this was quite amusing. X-D

With stash's mom (who decided to spend the night) and our son tucked safely into bed, stash and I proceeded to get utterly ripped. We may have wandered over to the neighbor's house but I really can't remember. The highlight of the evening was Jeanie's phone call and chatting a bit with mippio - transatlantic wastedness!

It was a relatively quiet evening at home but we'd sort of been partying since we celebrated our anniversary on Friday when my mom-in-law took our son for the next 24 hours. We had to keep it mellow since we were broke from the holidays, so we basically took a bus downtown, got wasted, froze our asses off, continued getting wasted, froze our asses off some more, tripped out on Christmas lights - then took a cab home where we proceeded to get even more wasted. Stayed up til 5:30 in the morning watching movies, listening to tunes and of course no night is complete without the Singles dvd and seeing if Surrender syncs up to anime. All very interesting but only if you're me and stash. It wasn't exciting, but it was nice and mellow and just the 2 of us. That's what anniversaries should be about...

No pics to share at the moment... though I should get the picture of my son hugging his Wii on Christmas morning.

Hey Whirly!

It really not depends on how big and freaky a party is. The love and peaceful atmosphere that's filling the air that day or any other day is what counts imo. So if you're together with people you're loving listening to good bits of music, having a cool time with each other you don't need anything else ;-) .

my NYE :

a party with friends in Mayenne (one really lost department in France...). Alcohol, music, and a lot of fun. I ended up hiding under a table and rolling on the floor (meaning I didn't drunk a lot, I was still OK)

We finished the night playing Wii Sports, until 8 AM :)
