I have a feeling the soundtrack is going to be very much like Human After All--underwhelming outside of a live performance. But man, what they did with tracks like "Steam Machine" in their set--f*cking awesome!

I have higher expectations, I think it will turn out much better than Human After All did. They did spend more than six weeks recording/mixing it this time around, right?

We can be optimistic, indeed. 
Things are totally coming together for the new apartment. Great location, larger--going to miss the uber-close proximity to downtown, but I still won't be too far away.
In all honesty my life has been something of controlled uncertainty for the past eight months. It's been tremendous for me to go through, albeit painful in these last two months after the end of a four and a half year relationship. But with the change to a quieter location in the city combine with a focus on kicking ass in law school, things are shaping up to turn out amazing for the rest of the year.

Anyone notice the fifty some guests that have been constantly lurking on the forum lately?
And the fact that all they're doing is either searching or looking at topics/profiles that have had nothing new in years?
Seriously, this is weird, look here: http://www.thechemic...sort_order=desc . When I last checked about ten of them were viewing 'Alternative Culture' from 2003. What the hell? Are they bots?

Yeah, I have no idea... It's weird. That and we've been hit with the odd spam post here and there (nothing major - not like how it was here in 2006 thank God).
And another thing. If you see spam please report it like some of you have been doing (thank you for that, by the way). If you respond to spam, it accomplishes nothing, further clutters the forums, and only adds to the garbage that will be deleted anyway.

Biff--good having lunch with you. Sorry if I was in a little bit of a pissy mood--the universe seems to have been unkind as of late, despite my ladyfriend being kind to me last night.
For those of you not up to speed with my current obstacles, the company which owns the property I'm trying to rent is declining my application to rent from them, despite my having a credit score of 722 (which is really f*cking good) and a perfect credit history for the past 2 1/2 years. I just don't know what to think anymore...

Just keep your head up and keep on persisting, Pooter. stash and I experienced similar obstacles when we made our last move (had to break lease due to financial hardship) and our new place didn't want to rent to us because even though our credit was good, it wasn't good enough. Nevermind the fact that since we broke lease, our old place wouldn't refer us even though we had nearly 6 years of perfect rental history with them!
Just gotta be firm. Courteous but firm, and persistent. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I'm in Chicago!!! Well, the airport, anyway. Layover on the way to visit my brother in D.C.
I'm trying not to mope about, and doing a fair job of it. I was just so looking forward to the new place to help me move on from the ex-girlfriend and focus on law school. Bah. I'll find another place, I'm sure.
Looking forward to seeing Inception this weekend. Should be great hanging out with my brother. He's a good guy, even though he's a republican.
