Good call. That movie was very well done. Fincher is an incredible director.

Maybe it was because I saw the flick first, but Fight Club is one of the rare, rare occasions where I liked to movie better than the book.

but I dig Brad Pitt.

I love the flick as one of my all time favs too, it was like school a long time back, but I did still find the book very very amazing too. Chuck's original writing was even way more in the face and heavier.

Ok, pt taken, Brad Pitt has just been lucky to be a few good films. I don't think he had anything really memorable to contribute really. Fight Club, yes, but most of his other stuff, he was just lucky to be part of a good script imo. Seven, Interview With The Vampire, 12 Monkeys, yes, those were very good films.

Another guy I despise out n out is that jerk Jef Goldbum, but then he was like a friend pointed out, pretty good in just one film, The Fly, which was an amazing film no doubt.

Totally agree with Tom Hanks being on the list too. Totally deadpan, bland actor, hate his goody good "I wanna be president some day" roles.

Except one old guilty pleasure, Forrest Gump. But looking back, he WAS playing a dumb retard, so fit the bill, and hence pulled it off. N then it was a good movie by Zemickis.

Hey don't look at us, you're the junkie who started the 2 movie threads, we're just as confused as you are!!

;)

I get what you mean about Brad Pitt - I think there's just some actors and actresses out there that are real hit or miss.

I saw the movie Jarhead yesterday with Jake Gyllenhael or however youspell his name...it's really good. It basicly shows how soldiers in a war area go crazy cause they spent days and days in the desert without doing anything.

Time to watch Crash today!

Don't watch the new Crash, watch the one that came out about 10 years ago that David Cronenberg directed... it was much, MUCH better.

That's my opinion, too, but I'm curious as to what others think.

I've only seen about half of it, but it's interesting in a sleazy, wrong-headed way. And in comparison to the new Crash....

stash and I saw it in the theater. We had to because, well - long story short, the song Warm Leatherette (which was based on the book Crash) was what got us talking when we first met. So yeah, we had to see Crash. By about 1/3 of the way through, everyone had walked out but stash and I endured til the end. It was good for a laugh is what it was.

And about the new Crash, you know what you said before will forever be associated with that film, "...and the world collectively yawns." X-D

Dunno bout the ole Crash, but the new one is a decent watch for sure.

Nothing too amazing, but good for a one time watch.

Stay with Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts

Really good movie! I'm going to have to see it at least once more, because there's so much stuff going on.

New Ewan McGregor film? I may check it out if i can get my hands on it. Though I've been missing most of his films post his Moulin Rouge hollywood big star status.

Just watched Ghost World, featuring Thora Birch, Scarlett Johansson, and Steve Buscemi.

Outstanding movie. Incredibly hilarious, extremely poignant. At the beginning, the characters are too cynical even for me to stomach, but they transform and become sympathetic and heartwarming.

Fantastic. Recommend. Totally.

dude, that's a great flick.

I've been hooked on Deadwood, on HBO. My buddy made me watch the first episode, I didn't even have HBO, but I ordered it. I've got the HBO OnDemand, so I can watch almost anything on HBO whenever I want, which is cool, because waiting for TV shows sucks.
