Darkstar what you said was so kind. And many thanks again everyone! Bosco, jesus man... you are just too sweet. You all are seriously the best.

The kindness you've shown will be remembered for the rest of my life.

I'd better stop or I'll get all sappy. And I haven't even had any egg nog, haha.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

The lego project awaits our arrival back to S. California!

Poot! We're home from seattle. You're gonna be here soon, right? Please, please please, let's get together, even just for a short time. I'll even come to wherever you are.

But we wanna see you.

Oh yeah, and can I admit exactly the kind of evil fuck minded that I am? After I saw who it was from, I carefully checked all the packing material and packages to make sure there weren't small envelopes of odd powders or candy colored tablets secreted away ;)

We're home... feels like we've been gone a week!

Sipping some nice tea right now, wondering if I'll get to see Pooter in the coming days. :)

I'm not gonna put together 1,300 pieces to have em break, so I'm going to glue it as we go.

You're welcome!

Yeah that spaceship (and tbh most Star Wars lego I've seen) looks pretty impressive! *goes into garage, finds metre-high tub of old lego and tries to build one*.

I pulled out the lego set last night to see if I could muster the strength to start piecing it together... but I am the type of person who, once I start on a puzzle or a build-it-yourself project, I literally go into tweaker mode and I cannot stop til it's done - so I had to refrain. I need to get some model glue to have on hand before I start since I only want to build this once! One thing: Thank god the pieces aren't just thrown all over inside the box but instead seperated into neat little numbered baggies!!

I guess everything went down as planned.

I'm glad Whirls that you and your family got the best Christmas ever from your forum mates. And a big shout out to Bosco for being the brains behind the idea and everyone else who contributed.

Hmm! Didn't know they had a Lego Death Star! *walking through a Target store*

Oh you guys are going to totally hate us. But I wanted to let you know... :( stash and I were going to put together the gargantuan lego set this weekend but Connor sheepishly piped up and said he wanted to trade up and get some DVD's saying "I promise I will get a lot of use out of the DVD's!" He knew I'd be sad because he's aware of how much thought went into the gift... and I feel bad, like some sort of ingrate, for saying he traded it in...

Good one Connor!

I probably would of said the same thing If I was his age! lol!

Haha, thats quite alright. I kinda had a feeling it might not be his cup of tea. It's a prototypical man-child toy if I ever saw one. We initially wanted to get him a Star Wars video game. But Stash had made mention that you completed that latest version (the force unleashed) somewhere in the Video game thread and we moved on to other ideas.

Chemdup will be crushed to hear the news....

@ Darkstar, I did get your email and emailed you back a while ago!

@ Everyone that didn't know about the project. I tried emailing as many people I could, I'm sorry if it never reached you.

@ Csar, Did you get my recent email???
