Truer words never spoken! And then I ate some battered fish coated in taco mix five minutes after. Combined with all the budget beer, my stomach wasn't too friendly this morning. All good now! :D

It wasn't bad. It was leftovers from fish tacos the night before and was much better when fresh. And the brand of fish could've been better, but it was on sale, so....

All in all, the combination of fish with taco gets thumbs up. (Biggest props to 'stash and Whirly who introduced me to the combo!)

The only thing I've every had in a taco is mince, and that's a store-bought DIY job, not a proper one. They're ok, a bit annoying though as most of the stuff ends up back on the plate after the taco's broken up as you bite. :x

Still, the fish idea sounds intreging :)

Then you must get your butt out here to California, we'll take you to a good spot, a magical hippie place called Taco Loco that makes the best fish tacos!

Fish, Lobster, shrimp, calamari, hemp, tofu, steak...

It's sad there aren't tacos everywhere.

Dude, let's open a chain of taco shops.

After hearing the coverage provided by the other forum peeps a couple of weeks ago, I may actually do that before I die. I was so jealous reading that thread as it developed!!

I was consoled by constantly reminding myself that I hate the heat, anything over 80 is a no-no for me, and that I'd never survive California for that reason. Kept me sane }:-) - or maybe not

well, it won't help you to know that where we live, the ocean breeze keeps it under 80 about 90% of the time. :P

You say that, but at the start of the year I actually planned to holiday to the US during the year at some point. Shame that over the months the plans evaporated due to lack of saving up and a passport. I need to get my butt in gear and get one, but there is so much burocratic crap and complicated rules, it's quite a mission just filling the poxy form in.

Maybe next year? :-?

:D
