Jane's Addiction isn't Jane's Addiction without the front man Perry Ferrel.
Why don't they name the band something else.
Anyway - lack of ticket sales is the reason for cancellation. A travelling festival is so costly, but I'm sure there's a whole host of other reasons why it went bellyup. I really wanted to go but it was called off before tix went on sale in California.
My husband saw the Cure 11 years ago and he said they put on one of the best shows he's seen - played 4 hours and that included just about every Cure song he knew.
Oh, the new Cure record isn't that great. It's not terrible, but it just didn't do a whole lot for me. Perhaps it's a grower, I could change my mind - it might also helped if I listened to the record all the way through to get the big picture, rather than listen to each song on random with 5 other discs in the shuffle.
